Whiffed flop with AJo three-way

Whiffed flop with AJo three-way

1/2. Rake and promo is 6+3+1 to 60. Five handed. Open raises are 6, 7, 10, and 12.

V1 (175) is a very loose-passive calling station.

V2 (600) has read a lot about poker but also plays bad. When he 3b in the SB, he carefully counted out 4x to 48. A few hands later, he open-limped UTG+1 with 55. In a comment on his own hand, he identified correctly his mistakes when he said to the hero: “I should have bet the turn, right?” (Hero was not in the hand and at that point was sitting to V2's left.)

Hero (225) has a solid TAG image to both Vs. He does not talk to V2 about his own hands.

OTTH

V1 UTG limps. Hero with AcJh on the BTN raises to 10 and immediately regrets not raising to 12. V2 in BB starts to 3bet, cutting his chips, then just calls. V1 calls.

Flop (27): 448r

V1 and V2 check. Hero?

I would not cbet if BB started to 3! 1/2 players' started to 3! might be JJ/QQ/AK.

I probably go ahead and bet (~$15), but check/evaluate is fine. Not much they can call w/ and the turn will be easy if they do call.

Get off this game 6+3+1 up to 60 is a killer

Good time to slow down. Your ace-high might still be best, so no need to c-bet.

V1 pretty much always has small pairs, small AXs hands, and probably some small SC too.

V2 often has AQ/AK/99-JJ that wasn't sure if they should 3bet.

If you check you mostly lose, if you bet you sometimes get it through but sometimes not and lose a bigger pot. How big each of those "sometimes" are depends on a lot of different things, and is probably unknowable.

To use a well known quote:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
