Too lazy to research. Is this based on a book? If so, was it good?

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is an upcoming American fantasy drama television series created by Ira Parker and George R. R. Martin. A prequel to Game of Thrones (2011–2019), it is set to be the third television series in Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire franchise and is an adaptation of the Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas.

Three novellas have been published – The Hedge Knight (1998), The Sworn Sword (2003), and The Mystery Knight (2010) – and Martin has stated his intention to continue the series.

The working title of the fourth novella was The She-Wolves of Winterfell [...] Martin also announced that he had roughed out another Dunk and Egg story with the working title The Village Hero which would be set in the Riverlands.

I’ve never read any of them, but the fan bois always raved about this story. I’m in. Feels like HBO is on its way back.

the book is great! and finished. it's broken up into three stories. loved the first story. really liked the second story. third story meh

trailer looks solid. casting looks good

Fun book. Hopefully the kid is good as Egg.

It's it just doing 3 seasons?

don't think that's been determined yet, i assume it depends on how this goes

Martin has said that he would like to write a number of these stories (varying from six to twelve from interview to interview) covering the entire lives of these two characters. [...] In 2015, Martin noted that in addition to She-Wolves and The Village Hero he had notes and fairly specific ideas for a number of further installments

seems like it could easily go 9 seasons if they wanted

I saw those Alt Shift X videos on the series twice so I hope they go beyond the 3rd book.

Honestly just bring back the original series.

Arya is living in a Native America like utopia.

Bran knows he's dying and seeks a replacement.

Jon comes back and rides Danny's dragon.

Tyrion can do stuff.

Etc.

and then some slave master colonists come and commit genocide, and found a country on genocide and slavery, but say it's the land of the free spreading peace and democracy throughout the world

Nah I think it'd be more cool and Arya if she got bored of living in peace and wanted to go back to Westeros and there's like drama if the natives would allow it.

Wait what? Danny Ings as the washed out striker that now plays for Shefield U ?
Nah, it has to be another guy with the same name right?

Make it stop!

new thing just dropped:

yeah, almost certain its a different guy with the same name (i forget what danny ings looks like, but i dont think it was like the baratheon guy with the antlers)

trailer looks good!

casting of the two leads looks good

I dunno I think this is gonna suck.

Just have that feeling.

As someone who has zero familiarity with this story, I thought it was a solid opener.

I enjoyed budget Oscar Issac as Lyonel Baratheon.

Could've gone without the shitting scene.

loved it!

opening scene was beautifully shot

casting is solid

love the dynamic between dunc and egg

Good to hear. Probably wait till Feb to watch them all.

I'm thinking doing 6 episode seasons is hopefully going to be a good move.

looks like the actor is about a foot shorter than the book character, which is a shame. but not the end of the world. much more important to cast for other qualities than just height

I wish they would just let us binge the 3 hours and 15 minutes of content planned for the season. 30 minutes at a time a week apart for largely disjointed novelas seems unnecessary

I'll take what I can get!

Could've gone without the shitting scene.

yeah, and the guy hockin loogs. and most of the attempts at "humour" were painfully cringe. and the weird family guy cutaway gag that severely undercut a good scene of dunk eulogizing old boy. apparently all this kind of stuff continues, ugh. unforced errors...

mostly pretty solid though, and seems like it's building toward something good

unfortunately there aren't a lot of 7+ footers who are also good actors (rip andre the giant)

yeah i think it's fine, he looks tall. saul goodman

Just about to watch ep2.

wtf is this? 33 minutes? this might be the best episode of television I've ever watched, but I'm already docking 4 points for this **** ass runtime
