Hook up culture exists and has been thriving for decades. Apps have created a golden age. Having criticism in the context of an abortion thread is perfectly reasonable. Abortion is being used as birth control. Last time I checked about a million per year.

Cultural norms are usually downstream of nature. We condemned promiscuity historically for a reason. Birth control and protection from disease will alter culture and behavior. It doesn't necessarily erase the use of a historical norm.

Hookup culture, a lack of shame, and a total lack of responsibility are obviously up for debate and discussion. Especially in the context of an abortion debate. Like getting pregnant and not wanting a baby is what? Doing so in college is what?
