Because maybe he preferred older men?

That is certainly a plausible reason. Another plausible reason is what chillrob (allegedly) suggested. Hence, why it was a legit question.

First date "hoping" is a classic tell.

Not to mention that the eagerness is usually palpable and its a huge turn off

It wasn’t intended as a question at all, it was intended as an insult, and pretending otherwise is just blatant soft-skulled nitwittery

It was a shitty thing to say and I’ll be more careful to watch for them in the future.

Not one person was able to answer this question. The answer is number two. The end game for both men and women is to have sex. there is a big difference, however, in how soon the sex will happen. Men want it to happen ASAP. Women also want it to happen ASAP but they have two things that need to happen first. One is they need to trust and feel comfortable with the guy. Two is th

Nobody owes you an apology. And the way you described your routine before the date, it wasn't an unreasonable conclusion for someone to draw.

Let he who haven’t asked a date if they’re on birth control over appetizers cast the first stone

Fair enough. The actual (alleged) post from chillrob wasn't quoted. I of course agree if the intent of the question was to be insulting, that's not right.

This is funny coming from you. I always thought you were constantly engaging my posts with empty garbage like your report cards was because you were still embarrassed i had to explain to you men are different than womenLike you just followed the woke nonsense like a total rube. Oh look at me I'm so informed and compassionate. I believe women and men don't have the same jobs bec

juan,

Everyone has seen your posts. They don't need me to repost all of them.

No one who knows me would rate me as particularly woke or compassionate.

Also painting a wall before a date is hilarious

I remember we invited ourselves over to a lady friends apartment to pre drink before the year end party for school. When we got there the whole place smelled like it had been submerged in all the chemical cleaners. She probably panicked

I could only imagine someone's reaction to a fresh coat of paint

I almost never agree with juan, but he is correct that painting your walls before a date is funny, and he is correct that the smell of paint is unlikely to be a huge turn-on for most people.

Serious question: why do you insist on doing this?

I think you’re pretty compassionate but maybe I don’t know you well enough, Roc :p

Is this question directed at me? Insist on doing what?

Yes. Insist on humanizing stupidity

by Crossnerd m

Maybe I should put it differently. I suspect most people who know me would say that I treat people fairly and decently but that I don't go out of my way to display empathy.

Yes. Insist on humanizing stupidity

I don't even know what it means to humanize stupidity. Even the stupid people here are humans.

Not everyone is amused by spamming the forum with rage-filled rants. Some people like to keep a clinical distance from the stupid/creepy/insane.

To each their own, personally I don’t care, I’ll respond how I would respond, but from my perspective addressing toxicity with empathy normalizes that toxicity. Myself, humanizing stupidity is how we got here

Lol

As an example, in last 200 posts mongo has indicated, and doubled down (multiple times), on the idea that if he pays for a date he is owed some pussy

Any response to this other than mockery and scorn is enabling. If you prefer the latter to the former, ****’s on you

The problem here is that I am the only normal person on these forums. Anybody who spends all day every day on an anonymous internet forum probably has deeper issues. SRM has 59K posts most of which are troll posts or profanity laden posts. 59K posts? You can't possibly have a life outside of TwoplusTwo. The people who frequent these forums are not close to a a reasonable sampling of everyday people. It's not normal to spend your day in a forum. Also, most people in here are left leaning. We have several obvious virtue signalers. Also, I have a feeling most of you are really old. My only mistake has been sharing information with a fake, woke audience.

by jalfrezi m

"Dating" is a terrible idea.

Basically it's a job interview, and who likes those?

This makes empathy sound like a performance?

by hole in wan m

I remember seeing king Spew post normal things all the time. Recently I haven't seen that. Finally got yourself back on track hereI agree it is immature. Thats a measured criticism vs calling him a date rapist or mashing out a curse filled spazzA teenager hoping to have sex on the first date or whatever is very different than someone well in to adulthood. Veiwing women as livin

I think this is part of the problem. You all are significantly older than me. At your age looking for a connection is probably the only alternative. Also, I go for women who are significantly younger than me so I am not looking for a long term connection.

The last couple hundred posts you’ve made ITT have been some variation of the following genres:

1. Why was I banned?
2. Why wasn’t SRM banned?
3. Why am I labeled a date rapist?
4. Why am I not owed pussy if I pay for a night out?

And somehow you’re surprised all I do is laugh at you

I really can't win. According to rickroll, I attack posters like mongidig and juan "relentlessly." According to you, I indulge posters like mongidig and juan to the point of enablement.

I try to respond to posts based on the substance of the posts rather than the identity of the poster, no matter how smart or dim I think the poster generally is. If that style frustrates you, or in the words of rickroll, causes you to lose respect for me as a poster, oh well. I don't plan on changing.
