You have the longest shutdown to zero end or purpose, you demonstrate your fecklessness and willingness to abandon the supposed purpose of your leverage
This is nothing but a conclusive loss ensured by the usual suspects you would assume made this happen
It's a loss to you because you're terminally online and tuned into politics (not shade, we can smell our own).
Most normal people just blame the party in power for bad **** that happens.
They blamed Biden for inflation after covid
They blamed Trump for this shutdown
They'll blame Trump again when their ACA premiums go up and they'll blame Trump when we have another shutdown.
They didn't get absolutely nothing out of this (SNAP funding through Sept as opposed to the length of the CR removes a pain point for a future shutdown for example) but that's the thing. It's such a small CR, why even do it for either side? What does the GOP get for the next 10 weeks?

So the whole shutdown was useless and really should be a wake up call for dem voters to stop electing these soulless ghouls into office.
No, they caved for a full year of SNAP funding and federal employees to get rehired.
And for the promise of a vote which will go nowhere.
All so we can have a shutdown again in 10 weeks.
That's the thing. If you want to cave, just cave. Agree to a full year CR and be done with it. At this point, it might be a legit humiliation fetish because this gives so little to either side it's a huge waste of time.
