why would livepoker be shutdown? i don't get it. does it flood easy in cebu?

Really bad flooding depending on where you live and bad road conditions.

Majority of the philippines floods easily they just had protests in manila a few months ago because all the flood prevention money was going into the pockets of politicians

So update today disnt have time to vlog had to run and get last minute supplies and spent hours waiting on our laundry service to show up. Got 3 hours of almost there texts before they finally showed up.

Due to increase in expenses for the next couple of months the bankroll is pretty limited. We're talking about 3k usd for the visa service for my wife, 10k peso for my sons doctor visit, 4k peso for my visa to be renewed, and of course I had to buy Christmas gifts for my family back home. Next month will be tight to with my wife's family needing gifts still and also medication refills for me.

So with that being considered I accepted a staking deal for this month at least it will be mostly online poker. Staking deal is for cash games, since I haven't played much cash online on trackable sites I have a little bit of a prove your self probation type of period of 25k hands. Shouldn't take more than a few weeks then we will get moved to higher stakes. There is a 1m gtd live tournament going on what I may try to play depending on how bad this typhoon ends up being, currently it's not to bad where we live but we are considered upper class and living where the "rich" people live so we really don't even notice the storm outside unless we actively try to see what is going on.

But the goals are still the same
100k php
Lose 20 pounds
1 suprise a week for my wife
1 date night a week
1 day a week for my wife to have for herself

These goals are meant to be nearly impossible to achieve and with the typhoon and and a bad start to the bankroll challenge we will likely fail several of them just in week 1. We can only get a baby sitter on Wednesdays. The babysitter lives in the provinces so she will be affected by the typhoon much more than we will so week 1 date night is likely a fail.

Day for my wife will also be tough depends on flooding and damage it can make it hard to get a grab for her to go out anywhere

And the others are all based around meeting financial goals and check points in the bankroll challenge so even though week 1 is a tough way to start we can still fail up which at the end of the day is the purpose of such extreme goals.

And I've uploaded some vlogs and a short but that's been a struggle as well but we are working on it.

I dont get it. The casino was open, afaik the roads werent flooded around or otw to casino, this typhoon was a nothingberger..like rained one day or so in manila. But u just take entire week off? Wut.

Cebu was hit much harder than manila was a lot of the areas are still recovering from flooding. And it's different than going to work for 8 hours and coming home this is leaving them in a condo with no AC and 1 fan. It's just easier to take a few days off and hang out in SM all day.

Babies can't regulate their body temperatures well it was around 100 degrees yesterday with humidity. A bad father would go play poker and leave his son in the heat with his mother and not worry about it. A good father would have priorities such as his wife and child being comfortable and happy and giving up 1 day of poker.

Wasn't a hard decision for me at all actually didn't even have to think about it, wasn't even a thought. The thought was how long until we get power back how hot is it going to get until then and where can I find a decent hotel room with ac and running water if we need it.

Men take care of their families regardless what that means, momey isn't an issue bills are all paid christmas prrsents bought and the fridge will remain full so making money wasn't a priority because that isn't what is most important. The most important thing is the health comfort and safety of my family because mean are protectors first and then providers. You have nothing to provide to if you don't protect it.

Don't try to tell me how to be a man or how to take care of my family.

But if you read and digest what I post maybe you will learn a thing or two.

typhoon was pretty bad in visayas dude. like 100 people died and quite a lot of floods.

Metro cebu barely anything happened.
Heavy rain on the 4th, 'sprinkles' on the 5th, nothing on the 6th until 11pm, then so far today is nothing.

Dude lives in richer area of cebu city.

Sure u got no AC and a baby. Make sure ur son is safe i get it, but dude took like the entire week off lmao.

Richer area doesn't matter to the weather still had flooded streets no power or water for 2 days and the garage/basement is still being drained of the last of the water.

At the end of the day family will always come before poker so it was worth it to miss a few days off poker to make sure they were comfortable.

I mean how good do you really think the games would of been any way.

What a crazy session we had today started off great flopped a set of tens on an T high board against AT and the guy stacked off against us and we held. Then we went on a horrible streak of hands were we were getting every big hand cracked loaing every flip losing our 80%s every bluff was getting called and we dropped 10 buy ins very quickly. Then we decided we weren't leaving our pc until we busted out account or we got back to atleast break even. We ended up +2 buy ins on the day but it would of been much easier and nicer to just win 12 buy ins and not have that crazy down swing happen.

Haha yes he is my previous thread I did for SV all of his comments were about me hooking him up with one of my wife's sisters 🤣

Things are going well won about 10 buy ins or son in the days we got to play last week.

The biggest struggle is I'm very very big on table selection. So with the hours I have to play there aren't always a ton of tables running or they are very reg infested. Even though I could beat the regs at my limit my win rate will be much lower and it's just not worth the effort I'll just wait for when games are good.

All In all things are good would of been nice to win 12 buy ins without that 10 buy in down swings to start the other day but at least we got back to showing green days every day last week.

Right now this week is a bit crazy with visa appointment for the wife but we will be squeezing in games as we can and grind out the games when they are good.

Had a small losing day today but I need to make some money so tomorrow will be a grinding all day trying to aim for 1k hands a day minimum but that's tough with the restrictions on the site I'm on it takes a while but 1k-2k hands every day the rest of the week for sure need to make some money to maintain my life style since I had extra expenses this month

With site restrictions and super fishy games getting in 1-2k hands a day takes a long time fish play so many hands.

So we fell a but short on hand goal today but we did make 3 buy ins.

After reviewing yesterday's small loss(about 1.5 bi) I was literally just out playing myself.

Plays that work at 100nl can be to advanced for lower stakes especially against recs and if they don't know what they are doing you can't expect them to make folds where you think they should or will.

So we just adjusted our game slightly simplified a few spots and did pretty good today. Tbh I had a 1.5 hour session where we won 3 buys in and another 1.5 hour session later and we lost less than a dollar so could of been better could of been worse.

And I really need to find time to vlog but with visa paper work playing 3-5 hours a day and a wife and baby to keep happy I'm struggling to but I'll try to squeeze it in!
