Welcome to USA#n. GL on your trip, looking forward to stories.

I hope it's just a weird time / date. We flew through CDG this year come from the U.S., and my colleagues coming in later that day were stuck for the usual hour or so.

Hopping around a little, Excalibur (super cheap, and actually pretty nice rooms in the newer resort tower), then parkMGM

Definitely very quiet so far, only few tables going (aria and Wynn), talked to some floors, they are all complaining…

all the rooms are open and tables are going everywhere. yeah it's not WSOP summer but you make it sound like Wynn and Aria are the only rooms running

The shutdown had resulted in canceling a crapload of flights. It's going to take a few days before flights are added and people book them.

Yep, obviously that’s what I meant.

So, summary after 1 week:
City is effing empty man ;-))
1-2 plo games going, starting late, not going through the nite, all the locals are pissed and complaining (F1 sucks, economy bad, where are all the tourists etc)

Well, at least my hotel room got cheaper again like the 5th time now ;-)

- Games slowly picking up, but far from what i had expected and hoped for.
- still hunting for my F1 tickets, had a fun little convo with a guy, his friend (big highroller, who cant attend) has packages worth 25K and was willing to sell them for only 15K ... well, thx but no thx. sounded nice though.

and, some "incident report" ...:

i know you're prob gonna read this, so let me make some things perfectly clear:

a) going after a clear non-reg the way you did ("if you guys dont straddle, i'm going home"),with that tone and attitude, is not only not cool, it's embarrassing.
b) we all know the real reason you left: me winning that pot, having a big stack now also, and position on your immediate left.
c) also: building mountains of red chips to feel like a big shot, and on top of that using them in game, thereby slowing the game down massively (you count them, the dealer has to verify and count, and when theres a chop pot or so, he is counting again - real pros (who win money in those games, in case thats not clear) want the game to be fast, bc more hands equals more profit. just saying ...
