AKs tight PF spot
1/3 NLHE 9 handed
V - Indian loose passive fish, loses big at the game. VPIP close to 100%. Buys in for 250$ on repeat. He's just been stacked a few hands ago and is getting drunk and is really into the game right now. Just rebought for 200$ and is down to 170$. SB.
The table is a mix of loose passives, there's a good TAG two seats to our left that's been making life tougher. Otherwise easy table.

BTN fish straddles 6, V opens to 35 off 170, H sees A♦ K♦ in BB with 750$, table has between 300-1.1k and is playing fairly loose passive pre...

3bet small to a size where V's jam will re-open the action. $85 would be good if he has at least $170.
Make it 100, jam every flop assuming it’s heads up.
I could see clicking it up to $85 just to isolate him, and re-open the betting if he jams. It kind of sucks if we get flat callers, and he just folds or over-calls.
I could also see just making it $170 to apply max pressure, and so we can't find an excuse to fold if he flats and then jams on an ugly flop. I don't mind just taking down the dead money here.
I could also see flatting to induce a raise from someone behind us, with a plan to back-raise. There's always the chance of fireworks happening, and potentially we avoid a disaster. If there's a 3B and a cold 4B behind us, I think we might fold.
i like the $85 idea and re-raising if he jams.
A fairly LP table, maybe I would fold AKs to a 4! at 125 straddles? But probably still no.
I like Omaha's idea and amount. 100 should reopen the betting after V's shove. (Lol if he folds.) Anybody watching with a clue will get out of the way, ofc.
I think if H just overcalls, we end up with a family pot. Not the worst thing ever with AKs, but not ideal. H has bad position (versus the table, if not the villain); let's minimize that by getting more $ in pf with our likely very superior hand. I'd be more in favor of jamming something that couldn't take MW heat like a lower PP.
I'm guessing no one is regularly 3bet squeezing versus dead money, especially against this massive sizing, right? i.e. In a 3betty table to a small weak looking open I'd be considering a flat/4bet here. In this spot I think I just isolate the fish and probably just shove his stack and hope I don't run into a top 2% hand behind me.

Result: I make it exactly 170, everyone folds, V tanks for a long time and folds.
Nice hand, imo.

Winning 15 BB’s with AKs is a great outcome!!!
If you shove with AKs and maniac V calls for $170 with 72o your EV is like +14.4 BB’s not counting rake drop or blinds.
You got basically max value with no risk. Thats a huge win.
