Diamond in a Day - CET Total Rewards

Diamond in a Day - CET Total Rewards

Is it still possible to get Diamond in a Day?

I have read about it in the past, just curious.

$15K for a 10X is more than you’ll need.

Not busy/crazy at all this last Jan when I went. Was there Monday to Saturday. As previous poster noted, the promo begins at 6 AM the first day. Just swipe your card and register for the 10X promo at any Caesars location, and you’re set Once only. Not needed at each location.

Each day I like to swipe to see where my TCs are so I have an idea at the end of the day if I need to play a little longer to hit 250 or 1000 for the day to be sure I secure their daily bonus.

They cap this promo - maybe something like 25K

I play less slots than my wife b/c of “the poker” but looking at what I have noted from the last 10X, after the multiplier kicked in (on 1/31), I was over 15K for the first level of Diamond, at 16,025. My wife was at 33,075 (2nd level of Diamond).

She can hit 1K a day most days. So she’ll get 1,000 x 10 plus the 1,000 bonus from Caesar’s for hitting the daily 1K. So all told, in one day of a promo like this, she ends up at 11,000 Tier Credits.

These 10X are stupid easy to hit the 15K or 25K Diamond levels. Don’t miss out on them.

The 5X promos aren’t as bad, but 10X should be a “can’t miss” for anyone looking to lockdown free rooms, waived fees, host assignment, etc.

And also if you get it at the 10x in January 2026, it'll last until Jan 31st 2028.

Thanks, everyone for the information!

Be sure to wait until next year. You'll have status for the rest of 2026, all of 2027, and Jan of 2028. I think. I'm sure someone will quickly speak up if I'm wrong.

I always seem to run extremely poorly on 10x promos. One time I particularly remember is I already had 2k, so I only needed 13k tc. I took 1800 (I took more, but lost some at poker), and after I lost that I had around 12k tc. Never underestimate one's ability to runbad.

Meh, I think I can miss without much effort, short of gambling enough to buy a used car. I've also never had a host, despite asking for one a couple times.

Speaking of which there's a 7x tc multiplier right now. I don't keep track of those things after I get status for the year.

I haven't seen mention of this yet: Caesars is now charging a fuggin RESORT FEE for COMPED ROOMS!

Ten bucks a day! They call it a comp resort fee. What do you get for it? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

More reason that MGM > CET.

I just made a few reservations for next year and haven’t seen this. Is this just an example of the general inconsistencies of their reservation system, or are they applying it in a variable way based on rating?

Also, has anyone noticed that resort fees at Horseshoe are now $56?!!! I gotta say, I understand why resort fees exist and people are mistaken if they think somehow the cost of rooms would cheaper without them. But it’s kind of absurd when you advertise a room as $29 a night, but the actual cost is nearly $100 after taxes. There comes a point when the absurdity of what things look like will have a seriously negative effect. And I think that point is here. I imagine Vegas is losing far more business due to the appearance of resort fees than they are saving on booking site commissions.

Now have no idea what's going on. I checked for a room reservation at Horseshoe earlier today, most of the nights were comped, and they put the comp resort fee on that I complained about. I got pissed off, logged off, and cursed CET. An hour later I cooled off, and wondered if all hotels are the same. I checked Paris, and no comp resort fee!

Yeah, ridiculous. When resort fees started they were 20-25 bucks. I didn't complain too loudly because I used to buy the internet for 10 bucks a day. Sure enough, they raise the fees almost every year.

My Vegas visits are down to about 3 or 4 per year. 1 for WSOP, 1 for Thanksgiving, 1 for my birthday, and 1 for making Diamond. I might have to cut that in half, because I'm tired of getting screwed. Luckily I don't much get fancy food or booze.

Yeah, but I got an email about a free night at Aria. Oh, there's a resort fee, they reminded me. I think it was 60 bucks!

If I want to stay a second night it was around 200 bucks.

After I read your post, I went online and it seems Ceasars is waiving the resort fee for Diamond/Seven Stars holders. I am staying there next Sunday, and will confirm, as I hold 7 stars status.

I have comped rooms at both Ceasars and Resorts World, (Resorts World I'm giving to my daughter). I don't think I hold a very high status at Resorts World, so last month they charged me $21 a day to park, I guess I got lucky because the gate wasn't working properly and they waived everybody through temporarily. As a hotel guest, I find that fee to be absolutely outrageous, so given that, I will probably just check my daughter in (Pay the $21) and not return. That means Resorts World will not have a stab at my 40K bankroll, not that it would be easy for them to get it, but they lose their shot at it. Last month when I was at Resorts World, I had a rather heavy session where I was in almost 20k, before mounting a comeback and squeaking by with around a $1500 dollar win on the property, I don't think my status was raised enough though for free parking. I imagine the bean counters have decided charging for parking makes financial sense, nevertheless in my case, the principle of the fee dissuades me, and I try to gamble at locations where I don't get nickel and dimed as much. If for any reason, Ceasars started charging the reduced resort fee you mentioned, I would of course pay it once, but I would be dissuaded from returning.
I really like the Durango Casino which doesn't charge any of these BS fees.

It wasn't a REDUCED comp resort fee, it was an ADDITIONAL fee. I'm Diamond and the regular resort fee was listed in the detail, but was waived because Diamond. They were going to charge me the additional COMP resort fee.

Resort fees were never about paying for a service (WiFi, gym, etc). Maybe the hotels were required by law to make the fee for something. Or maybe they just figured people would really find it odd to pay a fee for nothing. But the resort fees were simply a way for hotels to raise their rates without paying third part booking sites more money. Given how universally despised resort fees are, they also provided the casinos a mechanism to “reward” players. Avoiding resort fees is basically the only tangible benefit left to Diamond status.

But even w/o the resort fees, they’ve figured out how to reduce the benefits players get.

For example, when I first started achieving status through table gaming, I would routinely get weekend comps, especially during slow times of year like summer. Over the years, despite gambling a lot more, those weekend comps are pretty much gone. And the weekday comps have been made virtually worthless because I’m getting comped on nights that cost very little.

I started looking at reservations for next Summer. Over a 42 day period, with some creative reservations, I managed to get 27 comped nights. But this actually cost more than a different way of structuring the reservations with only 7 comped nights. Think about that. Reservations with 27/42 nights comped cost more than reservations with 7/42 nights comped.

Comps, like so many other loyalty perks, have been devalued a great deal.

That's pretty good, because I can only make 3 reservations. I can make more than that but not when I'm logged in with my rewards number.

Just for shots and giggles I checked prices for next June. I picked a time period that had 2 comped days followed by 2 $60 days. If I try to reserve those 4, it shows the first 2 days at $0 followed by 2 days at $60. If I add 1 more day, the 2 "comp" days are $30.60 each and the fine print says "$77 room rate +Comp Daily Resort Fee".

Of course they'd be cheaper without them. Pricing is largely psychological.

People who don't have diamond have to pay resort fees on comped rooms. Do you think Caesars wouldn't give out comp rooms if resort fees didn't exist?

Ticket reselling sites now have to list total prices on their sites on the main page of an event . That's a recent law.

But a long time ago StubHub decided to do this on their own. That lasted maybe a month or two. Why? Because it turns out having a ticket listed for 50 dollars with 20 dollars in bullshit fees sells more 70 dollar tickets than having that price listed at 70 dollars in the first place. StubHub saw the new change was costing them money so they switched back to tacking on fees at the check out page.

The fact of the matter is an offer saying comp rooms with a 56 dollar resort fee added is going to do better than someone seeing an offer for 56 dollar rooms. If that wasn't they case they wouldn't do it.

It's an added benefit not the reason. If it was the main reason they wouldn't exist when booking directly and they definitely wouldn't exist on comped rooms. The extra 5 bucks they might save on third party bookings is nice , but the overall price of the room goes up more than that 5 dollars.

Additionally when these scam fees first appeared in Vegas they were very well hidden and sometimes wouldn't even show up at all on third party sites. Then people would show up to the hotel and get hit with the scam.

Caesars computer system is garbage. When stuff like this happens I call up. The problem is sometimes that same room type isn't available for all of the nights.

For example the other day I booked a stay in March checking in Sunday checking out Friday. On my calendar the first 4 nights show comped, the thurs showed 50 dollars.

If I go to book just the first 4 nights the reservation total is 0. If I booked five it went to 175 dollars not 50. So I booked the 4 nights called up and they added the fifth night for 50 dollars. Sometimes they'll tell me they cant do that different room type blah blah so they'll split the reservation instead. And then when I check in they link the reservations and I keep the same room.

The max you can have with Caesars comped is 7 nights. Messing around with my calendar sometimes when 7 nights in a row show up comp I can book all 7. Sometimes it will let me do 3 or 4 and then start charging. When I go to the next page to see the room type that's always the issue.

Like maybe king non smoking is only available for 4 nights so if you book 7 it's switching you to something else.

I used to do all those gymnastics to optimize my room prices, but with my lower number of trips I'd forgotten to do that.

I always get 2 beds so I can spread out my crap on the extra bed. But, as you mentioned, it could be the problem I'm having. Plus, with the comp resort fee, there's another dragon I have to dodge.

there are considerations beyond ev for max coin vs not - it's mental health

if you do hit the royal you'll be kicking yourself for weeks

Keep in mind too that those percentages are if you are playing GREAT video poker. I can’t speak for everyone but I know personally, I don’t always make optimal decisions at video poker. I’d recommend practicing on one of the free video poker apps on your phone.

wizard of odds has optimal strat for every starting hand for every variant of poker

also has a calculator that helps you determine ev - sometimes when there's nothing good out there on the standard machines you can find pretty good pay lines on the niche stuff if you're willing to sit down and enter some numbers on a website on your phone until you find a good one

Do not know for Las Vegas but in some states the room rate pays "tourist tax "to the local government while the fees do not. Much bigger effect than booking site fees.

AC has this but Vegas doesn't. But I'm not seeing any kind of fees on my comp rooms in vegas.

Sometimes they're added, sometimes not, I don't know why. I suspect they're going to phase them in, and it's not working as smoothly as they want.
