LOL. I remembering talking to a young black guy thirty years ago about a trip he took to Salt Lake City. He said that his flight was delayed for a couple of hours and he didn't see a single black person in the airport the whole time.

I just checked to see what the actual conspiracy theory was. The most popular right wing fever dream seemed to be that this guy (i) was writing a tell-all book about the Obamas; (ii) was discovered in three feet of water; (iii) had a head wound; and (iv) nobody called police to investigate until many hours after the alleged drowning.
All those details were lies, of course, but more widely circulated than Kelhus's claim that the guy died naked at 2 am. Those details, plus Kelhus's suggestion that there was some sort of sexual component, must have come either from from his imagination or from a more obscure conspiracy theory.

I actually have no idea what voice to text does on this issue. It is a journalistic practice at this point, albeit an inconsistent one. It is not a journalistic practice to randomly capitalize words like "Ask" or "Find."

I am like 90% sure this is a half-remembered social media post that he never actually looked up to check the veracity of and not an intentional fabrication. Which is a really bad way to form beliefs.

The irony of the intent to emphasise shared culture and identity of course being that all black people do not have a shared culture and identity. A black person born in Rwanda has little in common with a black person born in Haiti or Jamaica (other than being melanin rich and money poor), and both have little in common with a black person born in the UK or the US.
