10NL confused on the flop
I don't like this situation because I believe CO is the of the type who will never or almost never 4bet JJ (and sometimes call QQ) and never or almost never fold 55 preflop.
€0.10 NL FAST (6 max)
BTN: 100 BB
Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 50 BB
UTG: 317.4 BB
MP: 144.4 BB
CO: 101.3 BB
Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q♠ A♣
fold, fold, CO raises to 2.3 BB, fold, Hero raises to 12 BB, fold, CO calls 9.7 BB
Flop: (25 BB, 2 players) J♣ Q♣ 5♣
Hero bets 5.9 BB, CO raises to 24 BB, Hero ?

I don’t think we have to choose this sizing and can go to 10/11 which also saves us money with the bluff portion of our range that we use to resteal vs the villains that have a fold to 3b button.
Flop - it’s safe to assume villain has less bluffs/semi bluffs because we hold Ac, so we’re assuming villains range is QQ,JJ,55 with maybe the occasional QJs, KTs and T9s which we should never overlook especially in spots such as this.
I can go either way on the flop in terms of betting vs check calling but I like the smaller sizes here. I call vs the raise to keep villains range less nut heavy but in doing so we’re expecting villain to start emptying the clip so bare that in mind- it’s one of those spots I’m never quite comfortable in myself.
Thanks for the input. you were right about villain emptying the clip.
Hero bets 5.9 BB, CO raises to 24 BB, Hero calls 18.1 BB
Turn: (73 BB, 2 players) 4♦
Hero checks, CO bets 65.3 BB and is all-in, Hero ?
I would fold if you don't think they have any buffs. Just odds at that point
I would call the flop and timeout/fold on the turn. It's so gross to fold but there's no bluffs outside of AxKc and KcTx. I think AK 4-bets a lot/doesn't always raise the flop and jam turn. KTo probably folds pre if they're a non-fish. If he has TAG or nit stats, it's probably a good fold.
Thanks, indeed I folded. Our hand looks pretty but it beats no value I believe.
Preflop: go for 10 BB.
Flop: if you bet, definitely don't bet this big - he either has something or he doesn't, low chance for high equity shifts on monotone boards. Betting small buys you a chance for a cheap turn + gives some fold equity, but also put you at risk of getting raised - which is not the end of the world, because you can call with your TPTK+nut FD+bd str8 draw.
I gave him JJ and 55, QJs, many flushes + one gutshot bluff + one TP KQ with 2nd nut FD. You have almost 40% equity against that:
Equity Win Tie
MP2 39.56% 39.48% 0.07% AcQs
MP3 60.44% 60.37% 0.07% JJ, 55, QJs, KcTc, Tc9c, 9s8s, 9c8c, 8c7c, 7c6c, KcQd
Because of that, I think betting > x/c. Of course you do call a raise, you need 24.8% and you should have almost enough with some implied odds too. Any ♣, Q or A and I would get it in (the Q is worse, but you will still have 33.4% equity and 28% on any other one).
