Way too early (November), but I can't help myself!
Heading to Vegas Nov. 18 through Nov. 25. My dad and his wife will be there, and the trip is meant to spend time with th

Cards and wine. Great way to pass the time waiting for your flight. Wishing you lots of run good in Vegas.
Thanks!
Decent flight, but 30 or so minutes late. There were so few people on it. I was surprised. I'm used to happy Vegas flights with drunk people
Had a great cabbie. He was from Belgian Congo, but grew up in France. My husband had a blast talking to him in French! This hotel is very nice, but it is not as swank as the Elara. Nice room with great view on 39th floor. Tired, though [emoji20]

Forgot to add that hubby won $100 at one of the Buffalo slot machines while waiting for our luggage. Neither of us could see how or why he won, but who cares -- off to a great start!
Up at 8 a.m. because I had an 11:30 back home. Working until 12:30 and then plan to get some exercise then head to Wynncore for some PLO.
Morning view:

Went for a walk to Walgreens to get some supplies. It was a little chillier out than I expected, so I headed to the gym. Worked out for about 30 minutes which is more than I've done in a long time! It felt good. I really need to get back into shape.
My husband's has work until 3:00, so I am going to wait for him and then head to the Wynncore.
Random pics to and from Walgreens:

Noticed a rainbow in Fontainbleau and could just make out the double rainbow to the left of the window. So beautiful day but when we got outside. Lightly misting but it stopped so after we left the hotel.
Had late lunch at the cheesy little Indian / Gyro spot near Kimchi. Absolutely delicious and hit the spot, but that place is filthy. Only $14 for a sandwich and fries though.
Now sitting at 1/3 waiting for PLO.

Let's run it up!
happy you made it in. good luck and have fun!
Unfortunately, no running it up. I played the worst hand I've ever played in hold 'em. Literally. I hope it taught me a lesson for the rest of the trip. I'll share it eventually, but it's too embarrassing and fresh right now. LOL. So, down ~$300 in 1/3.
PLO must move was a pretty good table, but I just didn't get much going. Zero all-ins. Only one or two hands I could consider raising pre with. No good rundowns, one AA (AA92 four suits). It was just blah. Won about $120, so down $180 for the night. Hubby was up and then got hit by 10 outs or so all-in on flop and then by a woman who was hiding her big chips.
I did get very upset with the brush. My husband was on the list before me, so I knew I was next for the main game. Next thing I know, I look at the main game and another guy from our table is there. I asked the brush (Jason), and he said, "I've only moved one guy, Jimmy. Your next." Duh. He had sneakily moved Jimmy (he didn't come to the table with racks and say, hey, you are moving to the main game, as they normally do), and then he lied to me about it. I went to confront Jason, but ended up talking to another guy. I had to get it off my chest -- it really pissed me off. The main game was great! I didn't care if he made a mistake, but he deliberately moved this guy under the radar and didn't fess up. I never even made it to the main game :(
We stopped for tacos to go on the way home at Tacos al Pastor (I think that's the name) next door to Tacos El Gordo. It's just as good, less expensive, and no line. I wonder if the same people own them? They were delicious. Enjoyed them with a bottle of pinot in the room, then in bed by 11:00. Rare for us, but good. Up at 7:00 for work.
Hope to meet up with venice10 at Venetian this evening!
Also, for those wondering, the Wynncore poker room was pretty packed yesterday afternoon/evening.
The floor is definitely greased by certain regulars, at the expense of out of towners.
I’ve seen this a lot in action at Aria. The list will be 30 names long, but whales get the first open seat.
I had a Wynn reg confirm that I got fucked in this same manner in August. He told me it happens all the time.
Won some at 1/3 and then finally moved to PLO. Was up $400 and my husband was on his way to meet me, and of course I lose $250 in my last hand. Not sure if I was ahead or not, but I played it badly and probably oozed weakness. Oh, well.
Headed over to meet venice10 at Venetian, and it was a nightmare finding Via Via. It wasn't on the maps (neither was Howlin' Ray's). I think we wondered for almost 45 minutes -- good thing we were very early. On the way, hubby put $100 in a Buffalo machine and won $165, then we played some $15 blackjack. I ended up $250, but he lost $400. Expensive champagne!
Meeting Venice10 was great. So nice to put a face to a moniker. Very nice guy. Unfortunately, it's his last night.
After hanging out with venice10 for a little while, I finally tried Howlin' Ray's chicken sandwich. Delicious. Huge sandwich The medium had a little kick, but definitely not too hot. Had the sauce and slaw on the side so my husband could try it -- he's picky.
Then on to 1/3 at Venetian. Was a fun but not very action table. My husband finally joined my table, and I stacked him 😉 He went off to "gamble." I ended up $640. (I think between poker and BJ I'm up ~$900. I don't ask my husband for his numbers!)
We made it an early night -- back to the hotel at about 10:30. Very cool seeing the cars race by. They are so fast!!! Checking out this morning to head to Resort's World for two nights, then back here. My dad and his wife get in tomorrow afternoon.
Sorry for the lack of photos. I'll try to do better. Here's one I forgot to post. The cute little lizard I love that welcomes us to Vegas is now part of a kid's playground.

It was great to meet Javanewt and Mr. Newt. Very nice people and made up for a bad night at the tables.
There he is!!
Glad to see he looks like he’s doing well.
He’s still playing! What a guy!
I remember you telling me about him last year when we met and I ended up at your table.
He is 92! I was really glad to see him. Marla was with him, of course. She's great.
Ended up winning $800 at that table and then another $665 at Wynncore.
Saw some of the cars zooming by on the walk to Wynncore. Very cool. Also noticed snow on the mountains this morning. Couldn't see them yesterday.
