That may be part of it but I think many people do not report crimes as well . They feel its just a waste of time. Of course murders ger reported but assaults and robberies not as much as police forces are overwhelmed and understaffed.

Democrats are talking way way more about Trump being a fascist or Nazi than they are about the middle class. It’s so obvious within the past seven years they have big-time attacks on the police and supporting BLM. Like the idea white people are privileged, or that the police are systemically Racist is a core ideology of Democrats….. that alienates a lot of people who would otherwise vote Democrat.
A lot of people voted for Trump not because they like Trump but because they see Democrats as the greater of two evils. Something that nature. So a lot of what you see today from Republicans, including this whole thing about the young Republicans, private text messages is in response to the wide open and blatant racism of Democrats. But also do their stupid identity politics.

As someone who is very critical of the government in Israel I can recognize that continuously The various governments of Israel have provided pretty well for their citizens. Obviously, they have an issue with the Palestine thing, but with their own citizens they are doing much better than for example, the Yemeni government is doing For the Yemeni people.
See not every country in the world is going to have American style democracy. It just doesn’t work that way. They’ve tried that with Latin America and Africa and it has turned into in many cases a failure. Some of those areas even experience democratic backsliding.
This is in response to the original poster responding to my points about Qatar… Qatar is a country that is among the safest in the world with a very strong middle class where most of it citizens are either in the middle class or the upper class. The original poster instead of acknowledging this goes on this rant about authoritarianism and something like that. It’s just tiring. The op with no evidence claims that criminals are in charge of the Qatar gov ….low grade argument in reality the gov of Qatar is authoritarian and strict does not make them criminals. Point is there is a blatantly obvious difference between the government of say Qatar or Saudi Arabia compared to a lot of countries in Africa or South America, in terms of the amount of success of the middle class. And that means something it means a lot, but I think the original poster is totally trying to blow that off. It’s not acceptable.
And again not every country is going to have or even want an American style of democracy. There’s even problems with the United States the so-called strongest country in the world yet it has healthcare problems. We have an obesity problem. We have a birth rate in America that is below the replacement rate ….the USA back in the 1980s had a much easier climb up the ladder situation for poor people getting into the middle class. Something to look at there. We need to go back to those days. These days in America, a college education is way too much money whereas in some of the developed gulf countries college education is free provided for by the state. So is healthcare.

All the gang violence, accounting for most of the gun violence in Chicago, is committed by aimless, thoughtless criminals. These are not principled people who would risk a hair on their head standing up for their communities which they ravage. I live in Chicago and before ICE came in I was telling everyone I know to cease and desist with that fantasy.
No one is going to stand up to ICE or any other jack booted government thugs with violence. We are in an age now where everyone on the good side of policy (freedom civil rights dignity equity justice etc) is foolishly dedicated to nonviolence. Anyone who would take up arms against some kind of Trump brown shirts, or any illegal military incursion into U.S. cities, are ideologically aligned with said brown shirts.
