One of the top 10 bad variance graphs in cash game history

Here you have one of the worst cases of variance in cash game history.

This does not include the 80%+ chance to win on flop-all-in james, which is being lost 90% of the time.

But remember poker is not rigged hahahaha

I'm sorry for your loss, this truly sucks.

Your conclusion doesn't follow from your premise though. If poker is rigged, then why would this be so uncommon? If it's true that this is the worst cases of variance in cash game history, that supports the presumption that it is just a statistical happenstance at the way tail end of the distribution that just happened to be experienced by one person over the millions who have played poker and flies in the face of your implication that it's because poker is actively being manipulated to create outcomes like this.

Just eyeballing it, but I'm extremely confident PrimeDope will confirm that 60 BIs of variance over 150k hands from AIEV alone is absolutely atrocious variance.

This graph had snowballed to nearly 80-Buy-Ins.

We puke nearly every Turn jam with 90% plus odds to win by the river.

Ace high flushes, forget it, full houses are sinking them by the river most of the time.

KK, dump it preflop, its a loser, you will get jammed by JJ or TT and puke it (usually on the flop).

AA slightly better but hopefully they don't call your jam with AK or your AA is a big underdog.

OK look, I get it, a 20-30 buy in downswing is totally normal and I get it. Variance is brutal and its volume.

But were talking about a 5 month non-stop downswing losing with 90% variance constantly, even full houses are sinking more than doing the sinking.

Im not saying its rigged but this would be nice to have a real investigation for the sake of digital hygiene.

hello lads, so you are having it wrong about % of best or worst at variance simulations as must people do, you dont do the % calculation about your specific sample cause of course is gonna be rare odds, for better explanation having a 60BI loss in a specific 150k hands is rare, but playing 2 million hands it will be way more common to have that 60bi loss in a sample of 150k hands.

it seems the same but ofc is not, is like flipping a coin and have 7 times in a row the same result, if you do it just at 7 flips it will be quite rare, but if you are flipping the coin constantly inevitably you will get that 7 times result eventually.

variance is the name of the game, and we cant do nothing much about it, just accept it and assume it.GLGL
