I caught it before it was taken down. I don't remember all of the details, but it was based on VIP Rewards level with bronze at 10%, silver at 12.5% and went up from there. I do remember it specifically said that poker rake still won't count toward VIP level.
Correct, the only way to rise in VIP level was through casino or sports betting but you still receive rakeback from playing poker. The rakeback starts on Nov 28th and you can earn from Friday to Friday and the payouts are every Monday. That's about all I can remember. I hope they do this, kind of worries me they removed it though

So the reason that Glasgow Rangers and I did not receive the bonus is that there is an additional condition to qualify for the bonus. I reread the promotion and the condition is stated in the main text, even though it wasn't very clear so that both of us missed it.
Seems they are now offering leaderboards again. For the next 12 days at least. Good time to point out how utterly hideous their bonus system is. That's not even to say it's cheap or even particularly stingy. You get more than what most sites give you. But the way everything is presented and calculated is awful. The leaderboards themselves are presented as a long scrollable list presented in an effectively random order. You don't get points until you exit the table, sometimes not for several minutes after, so if you're grinding a long session and don't quit before 12 EST then none of it counts. Nor does it count for the next day. Also hilarious that PLO and PLO6 have a leaderboard down to $50, which only has PLO, while NLHE has the lower stakes too, almost like they went top to down and just ran out of promo money and said screw it. Their promos change every couple of weeks anyway. It's almost like they're A/B testing a bunch of things but they've been doing this for years with no rhyme or reason. But hey, I take it over the crumbs you get on other sites.

Chico seems to tinker with their bonus system every few months for some reason. I wish it were more stable, but it's really my only serious complaint about the site. I'm aware of the "don't get points until you leave a table" bug, so I always remember to break a few minutes before the deadline. But other than that, it's a pretty good site. The player pool, at least for PLO, is insanely fishy. I see some names on the leaderboards who are massive donators. I don't know of any other site where the leaderboards are anything other than 25 VPIP/ 20 PFR regs, but on Chico, I'll see some 60 VPIP whale up there.
Well...that definitely used to be the case...but as I've seen on other sites, the presence of a leaderboard really brings the grinders out. There's a bunch of PLO 50 tables running (well, 4, which is a lot for this network) but it looks like the same 4 guys are at all of them. That said the games are def good otherwise
okay I'll take that back there are a lot of real bad players on now
the leaderboard def seems to have goosed the action. I got 5th and 3rd the first 2 days now I can't even get close.
