New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

This evening in the middle of a Southern California rain storm, my wife and I went to Chili's for some chips and salsa and cheap drinks. The place was SLAMMED! The parking lot was full and restaurant was hopping. whew, since when did Chili's get so popular? I've gone on Saturdays with less people.
Now that I think of it, The Old Spaghetti Factory was also pretty busy on Monday. I guess the economy is cruising!
I need that badly!I went to Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time tonight. I'm a fan of spicy food and my son texted me that he orders "extra hot" when he goes there. Extra hot is one level down from the top and so that's what I ordered. Damn, that chicken lit me up. whew. I was dying. Eyes and nose were both running. Next time I need to dial it back.My son just laughed
Hot is the happy medium at Dave's. And milkshake is a must to counteract the spice.
I'm thinking about doing a road trip next year from upper left USA to maybe the middle of the USA, mainly to check out theme parks, food, and local attractions I've seen on youtubes for years
I wonder how far I'll need to drive until I encounter an FF place that I've never been to!
Braum's is probably another place you haven't been to. They started in OK. Not sure how widespread they are. All over Texas for sure.
I've been out of the weed scene for a long time, but I'm sure you'd be fine here, depending on how much you're carrying, lol. Dallas recently passed a law decriminalizing anything under 4oz. It's on pause though because of our idiot governor, but I imagine they still pretty much ignore it. Stay in OK at Winstar then make a one day run to Six Flags in DFW.
grew up with Braum's, mighty fine dairy products
Not sure if Good Times is up in Seattle, but I'm pretty sure I've seen them in Idaho. Unfortunately, not really worth a stop.
McRib #2 + free med fries via app. 3000 points, 25k left.
No pics as I walked my dog 20 minutes to get there and ate it in the courtyard of the closest senior home
As dogs are not allowed at mcricks per se, and I do not wish to upset the kind workers there, I simply order curbside pickup. you don't need a car, or even a dog, to use the service!
Wow, here in AZ people bring dogs EVERYWHERE, sometimes 2 or 3. Kinda puts the lie to "service", lol. I would think that in a state like WA there would be service critters of all kinds, in every possible public space.

Chili's is CHEAP! Compared to a McBurger Happy Meal at $20+, food on a plate that a guy spent more than three minutes cooking, for like 12 bucks is a huge bargain.
So went to chinatown in oakland the other day taking out a friend for his birthday. Absolute hole in the wall style place where every entry was $20. And $15 for appetizers. $80 with tip for 2 entries and 1 appetizer. We are doomed.

if it's the one depecicted with this logo, the answer is no
important to note up until recently portland metro area included a similar swath of spin-off red white and burn-out the tired burger americana hot-rod graffiti themed wall diner with exactly an identical name but the shake machine was recently shuddered and since subsequently converted into are you sure quitting cold turkey a sous chef position at your local sushi dispensary where every otoro includes complimentary ginger cbd gummies is a good idea

but how was the food?
totally happy not paying for fancy in a lower rent environment in exchange for getting better food than i would have otherwise
@Red Food was average for the area. Tip: Just stick to Shan Dong if looking for chinese food in oakland. 😀
The Taco Bell steak poblano quesadilla is really good.
Habit has a free chicken club with $8 purchase.
Dinner plans: Chicken club, side salad, tempura green beans
Would eat.
had one of the best chipotle meals of my life yesterday with the carne asada. got it with guac and the workers hooked me up portion wise.
this morning (1130am~ and they open 1030am) carne asada wasn't cooked yet and half of the guacamole did not look like an appealing color, so i didnt get it, just a chicken bowl.
I know they're supposed to make guacamole fresh every day and I swear that guac did not look fresh. It looked like a one way trip to diarrhea town. I should've taken a pic of it and sent it to corporate.
