No info on Villain, he probably calls with something like AJs-AQs, maybe ATs, then KQs and maybe KJs or QJs/JTs and then pairs JJ-88, unless he 4b JJ pre.

That turn card is really bad for you, lots of jacks in his range. I doubt he v-bets ATs here, might not even do that with AQ. So you mostly hope for bluffs, like KQs.
BDFD just got there, now it's all down to the question whether he bluffs the rest of his KQs combos that missed (hearts and clubs). If yes, you have 26%, barely enough. Do you have notes on Villain? Else it's hard to assume he does that, rivers in 3bp are usually underbluffed. And yes, size up flop.

What size are you going on the flop? And I agree turn sucks but are we going for a check/call, check/fold river line here?
Flop should be at least 1/2, don't forget you're playing OOP, so there is no time and place for these gaybets. I highly doubt someone will double barrel this as a bluff on a board where you can easily have a FH. River is just a x/f, unless you know Villain is bluffing like crazy.

Appreciate your advice. I've been away from the tables for 18 months - maybe longer so just getting to grips with playing again and i'm annoyingly running into various spots repeatedly where i'm just burning money so my game for sure needs tom fine tuning.
I've had a few bad sessions today that i can honestly say i haven't ran great but my overall play has been the reason for making a loss so no excuses,
