2NL Zoom - SB vs BTN in 3b Pot

PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.02/$0.05 - 6 players
Replay this hand on Pokeit

UTG: $7.25 (145 bb)
MP: $5.20 (104 bb)
CO: $5.00 (100 bb)
BU (Hero): $5.05 (101 bb)
SB: $8.21 (164 bb) 20/16 with 8% 3b after 77 hands
BB: $8.83 (177 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.07) Hero is BTN with Q Q
3 players fold, Hero raises to $0.10, SB 3-bets to $0.50, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.40

I think calling QQ is fine here? 8% is not super wide and would opt to 4b A4s tyoe hands given the stealing dynamic[./B]

[b]Flop:
($1.05) 4 6 5 (2 players)

SB bets $0.30, Hero calls $0.30

Turn: ($1.65) 9 (2 players)
SB bets $0.47, Hero calls $0.47

River: ($2.59) T (2 players)
SB bets $0.74, Hero calls $0.74

Thoughts on calling down postflop?

Would 4b pre but as played it's fine.

What's your 4b / call range vs this villain type in this spot? QQ+ / AK?

The 3bet% after so few hands can be very misleading. VPIP/PFR converge quick enough I would classify this villain as some sort of tight-agressive, preflop knowledgeable player, but for 3bets I still consider they are like an average villain of the pool. And average villain's do not 3bet as much as theory dictates, so we can be a bit tighter with 4bets.
If you knew villain 3bet was actually 8% and they had a decent 3bet% BBvsSB (north of 10%) then you can play very aggressively.

That said, QQ is a fist pump 4bet/call a shove vs almost anyone.

Thanks for the advice. I guess i'm being too nitty overall in such spots and like many other areas of my game this requires work.

Preflop: make it 2.3-2.5, unless you know blinds are super tight and you want to get a dirty cheap price to rob them of their money. Else you're giving them (especially the BB) to call you with literally vast majority of his range, 52-55%+ easily.

3-bet stats are useless after such sample.

As per the theory, QQ is 50/50% 4b or call 3b. If you haven't 4b so far, I would take the chance, especially since the ranges are very wide and you need some 4b bluffing too. Stacks are 100bb, so yeah, just 4b/c until you get some more reads.

As played, nothing more you can do here, if you gave him the chance to flop two pair/straight, so be it.
If he caught a set with 99/TT - not great.
If he has KK+ you would have lost either way, prob against TT too, cause that one wouldn't fold.

You can bluff catch missed FDs, AK/AQ/KQ/AJ, maybe he has Tx sa well. You're not even going all-in, the price is low, you should be good 25%+ of the time. Call.
