I don't know CN, falling for mongo's childish ragebait is lumping you in with the chillrobs of the world. Please don't give him the satisfaction that he's actually getting under anyone's skin or anyone takes him the slight bit seriously.

Respectfully, not taking that rhetoric seriously is a privilege I do not have. The mongidigs of the world represent a real and present danger to me and other women. I merely cope with it by mocking it, but it is nonetheless distressing. It’s not rage bait when it’s real life behavior.

You have done this to me just within the last few weeks, repeatedly on the same topic, and I'm 90% sure you were doing it deliberately. Very frustrating to have a mod do this.

I understand that you basically became a mod because no one who could be unbiased wanted to do the job, but I really think it would likely be better with no moderator than with one who deliberately stirs things up and seems to use the position to have power over people and take out her anger which should be directed at those with whom she interacts in real life.

An example of what I just said. If mongidig has actually threatened you or done something which may cause actual danger to you (or to someone else) , you should report it to the owners of the website, have him banned, and report it to the police. If he hasn't done any of those things, he's no danger to you, and it has nothing to do with "real life behavior".

I didn’t deliberately stir up anything. I said male friendships lack the intimacy I see in female friendships like two days ago, and then all the usual snowflakes came to dogpile me for “hating men”. You’re just pissed off that I won’t stfu and be quiet about it.

She didn’t claim that mongidig himself is a danger to her, she said “the mongidigs of the world” are. Given his weird posts about how he is “investing” in women, and hoping that after a few drinks the girl he has over will be open to sleeping with him, I’m not sure why someone would disagree with that assessment.

Of course there are things you can do to mitigate being in those situations, but it is just correct that there is at least some danger in this way of viewing women. And that’s not to say mongidig himself has ever done anything abusive. That’s what is insidious about it though.

Yeah, I also thought that story was pretty creepy, but she took out her anger at others onto not only him, but all of us.

If she thinks he isn't fit to be in the forum, she is lucky to have a proper way to deal with it. But instead she chooses to punish everyone.

There doesn't seem to have been any reason at all, at least none built on rationale first principles. I believe Orwell said it best:

“Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship."

I will say if one had a thesis is that a matriarchy would be a good, workable idea; the last few pages of this thread would not provide great points of evidence supporting said thesis.
