**** TJ’s Sundry Poker Adventures! 2025-26 ****
Hello again!
I’m coming off nearly a month in Las Vegas, and now that there’s some distance, and perspective, from the po
sitting upright
eyes closed
feet flat on the floor
slowly take the deepest breath ever in through your nose
then pause and exhale even more slowly through your mouth
On the 5th and final break of the night. It’s a little annoying we went to break while we’re hand for hand… maybe the bubble pops by the time I get back.
On 375k, average is 265k.
My ability to remember specific hands and action is waning as the night goes on, lol. I did get another double, setmining OOP in a 3bet pot, with 44, again. If I minraise, and get 3bet only 2.5x, which is just 5bb, well, I’m calling and drilling a set anyway.
Two other times, I floated over cards with a whiffed AK and hit top/top on the turn. Fortunate those ran out that way.
I want to bag the biggest stack I can… but I’m feeling a little fatigued, and plan to do a LOT more folding when I get back.
FINALLY in the money.
We were hand for hand for probably 12 hands or so, through the 15 minute break. More than an hour of real time.
Feeling determined. Let’s take this to a bag.
Spin spin for the WIN once we got into the money.
First hand in the money, UTG shoves 88k, I look down at JJ in MP1, playing about 450. I raise to 200k, planning to fold if a stack that has me covered behind me re-ships. No one does, and I hold vs AJs.
Little later at 4/8, I open AKo to 20k, CO who just won two straight all ins calls, then BB ships for 111k. I get the dealer to count it out, don’t SNAP ship, but do re-ship, and CO calls, which surprised me. My AKo is up against QQ and JJ, flop and turn all low,
…Barry Greenstein Ace on the river, baby!
Lucky Day 1 shirt comes through, AGAIN.

Bagged 876k, which has gotta be a top 5 stack, out of the 49 players that bagged for this flight. I’m eagerly F5’ing the updates.
…I guess now I HAVE to order the onions on Sunday.
I’m pretty exhausted. I was in my seat for hand 1, and now we’re done, 14 hours later.
Gonna head back, sleep as long as I feel like it, then PLO all day tomorrow! (…today.)
I officially bagged the third biggest stack of Flight A!
…I positively could NOT get to sleep until I saw that update.
Flight B tomorrow should be roughly double the number of entries. The prize pool has a 1.5M guarantee, and should clear that comfortably.
I hope EVERY degenerate gambler fires all three bullets tomorrow.
Way to go TJ!!! Enjoy the day off.
awesome stuff TJ!
Now that’s a bag! Good luck on day 2.
WTG! Gogogo!
Get them onions and GO GO GO!
Go to the park today to recharge for tomorrow! Great job.
Fantastic!!!
Nice! The Moby force is strong in this one.
Take it down now. Looking forward to tomorrow's goings-on.
Thrilling run so far.
Thanks everybody!
Didn’t sleep great last night. I find I have a hard time decompressing after a long, exhilarating, and successful tournament day. The same thing happened to me after Day 2 of the Main Event this summer.
So I tossed and turned for a couple hours, then got up around 10:30. Took a slow morning, got a shower, and headed over to the casino.
Went to Brio for lunch. I had one of my favorite things there, the shrimp and crispy eggplant app:

It was great, per usual. Today I tried the lasagna for the first time. It was HUGE, definitely wouldn’t have gotten an app if I knew it was gonna be that big.

But I finished it, and it was good, too.
Plus a glass of Cabernet, it was $70.
Now, I’m gonna post up in the poker room, play some PLO, and watch this SEC Championship Game!
Alabama has owned our soul since time immemorial, but somehow I always convince myself that THIS time, it’ll be different.
Great job. Run it up tomorrow

As a Michigan fan who endured something like 15 losses in a 16 year stretch to hated rival Ohio State, I understand your pain. But the streak finally ended and Michigan won four in a row before losing this year. Sooner or later it is true that, "THIS time it'll be different." I'm hoping for you that today is the day.
this is exciting!
wishing you all the luck TJ!! 👍
Go Dawgs!

We’ve been favored in each of the last SIX matchups!
Lots of ATLiens here in Cherokee this weekend. I’d say the sports book is 75/25 UGA/Bama. They go nuts for any big play, either way.
Good first half so far. But we’ve won a bunch of first halves against these guys. Not counting them out until they’re dead and buried.
Very prudent. My advice regarding celebrating ...
... Make sure the game clock reads 0:00 ... Double check game clock to make sure it still reads 0:00 ... Check for penalty flags to make sure the refs aren't trying to screw you ... Double check to make sure the refs don't try to screw you ... Check to make sure the replay officials aren't going to try to screw you ... Make sure Nick Saban is not coming out of retirement to coach Alabama ... Then, and only then, can your celebration begin.
may i recommend next breakfast be amply smothered and covered with onions
while you always remember oxygen is fuel for the brain
worth setting an alarm to remind you and Moby to regularly top off the lung tanks
