My Game is Mystery Battle Royale $0.25 - Documenting my path from the micros
Hello everyone,
I'm a dedicated Mystery Battle Royale player at the $0.25 level, and I've been following the discussions of regs like den_turbo, Shadowski, and fun4you for inspiration. I've decided to start my own thread to document my progress, share my goals, and hopefully get some advice from the community.
My Starting Point & Bankroll Management:
· I started on October 17th with a $167 bankroll.
· My golden rule is to risk a maximum of 1.5% of my bankroll daily.
· I play a strict schedule of 9 tournaments per day (3 in the morning, 3 in the afternoon, 3 at night).
My Results So Far (The Numbers):
I track every single tournament. Here's a snapshot of my first blocks of games:
· Tournaments Played: 54
· ITM (In The Money) Rate: ~39%
· Final Table (Positions 1-9) Rate: ~74%
· ROI (Return on Investment): +33% (Total Net Profit: ~+$6.19)
· I consistently finish in positions #2 and #3, and my bounties represent 43% of my cash profits.
My Clear Goals & Next Steps:
My ultimate goal is to climb the stakes methodically. My roadmap is based on my bankroll:
· Level 1: $50
· Level 2: $100
· Level 3: $200 (My current target)
· Level 4: $500
· Level 5: $1000 (The dream!)
My plan for the next 15 days is to add one **Tbuilder $0.25** to my daily schedule once I'm stable above $190, to get used to a different tournament structure.
My Biggest Leak & Where I Need Your Help:
My stats show a clear weakness:I'm very strong at the final table, but I struggle in the Rush stage (positions 10-18). A large portion of my tournaments that don't reach the final table end here. I play tight and aggressive, but maybe I'm missing something. Any advice on adjusting my strategy during this specific phase would be hugely appreciated!
"Secondly, I'm looking to refine my final table strategy, specifically when I'm short-stacked (around 15-25 BB).
I often find myself at the final table, but I feel I could convert those appearances into more 1st and 2nd place finishes. My questions are:
1. With a short stack (15-25 BB) at the final table, what is your general strategy? Do you look for any spot to shove, or do you wait for premium hands and specific positions?
2. What is your shoving range from the Button, Cutoff, and Small Blind when you have 15 BB? I want to compare it with my current ranges.
3. How do you adjust against other short stacks? If another player has 10 BB and I have 16 BB, should I be more or less aggressive?
Any insights into short stack play in the late stages of an MTT would be a game-changer for me. Thank you!"
I believe in discipline, rigorous bankroll management, and constant learning. I'll be posting my updates here regularly.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to sharing my journey with you all!
