British Politics

Been on holiday for a few weeks, surprised to find no general discussion of British politics so though I'd kick one off.

No, the entirety of your argument for years has been exactly that immigration causes crime rates to rise because immigrants are mainly young males, and this has been disproved by the very studies you’ve posted because you really are one hell of a thick incel wanker. I feel sorry for your polytechnic students being subjected to this sort of vacuous teenage mind rot, but then again it’s not like you’re teaching an academic subject, thankfully.

A quick consideration of Bayes would have led you to understand that your herp derping about more young males in the immigrant than the host population doesn’t necessarily mean higher crime rates, but you’re too ****ing stupid to even do that,

All kids should be deported when they reach 16 years of age and only return when they reach 24.

Damn,

Great Britain really is nothing but a laughing stock nation. Pakistan sees you as nothing but a weak little bitch they can disrespect as much as they want. And you wont do jack **** except beg for more. They will send you all their worst human trash to destroy your nation from the inside, and then tell you to go **** yourself. And guess what, that is exactly what you are going to do. You are weak and impotent.

Britain really is pathetic.

lol

Lawyers for eight remand prisoners who are on hunger strike while waiting to go on trial for alleged offences relating to Palestine Action are calling for an urgent meeting with ministers.

In a letter seen by the BBC, the lawyers tell Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary David Lammy that there is a "real and increasingly likely potential" their clients will die in prison as part of their protest.

Two of the defendants had been refusing food for 37 days and five of the group have spent periods in hospital, according to the letter.

Earlier, MPs John McDonnell and Jeremy Corbyn told the Commons Speaker that ministers had not responded to requests for information about the protests.

A Ministry of Justice (MoJ) spokesperson said: "The deputy prime minister has responded to and will continue to respond to correspondence on this issue, and is being kept informed of the situation."

"We continually assess prisoners' wellbeing and will always take the appropriate action, including taking prisoners to hospital if they are assessed as needing treatment by a medical professional."

The protests taking place in five different prisons involve eight people who have all been charged with offences relating to alleged break-ins or criminal damage on behalf of Palestine Action, charges that are denied, before the group was banned under terrorism legislation.

Four of the group are accused of playing roles in the break-in to an Israeli-linked defence firm in 2024 and are due to go on trial in May next year at the earliest.

Remember to never vote for 'changed' labour again

this has shown to be false for various reasons such as changed behaviour and circumstances.

Cite or GTFO

because immigrants are mainly young males.

I've never said this, so you're a ****ing liar.

A quick consideration of Bayes

LOLOLOL!!!! A "quick consideration of Bayes" tells me you really are a ****ing idiot who has no clue just how ****ing stupid you are.

Yah, a A quick consideration of Bayes tells me you're probably right.

LOLOLOL!!!! A "quick consideration of Bayes" tells me you really are a ****ing idiot who has no clue just how ****ing stupid you are.

Incel boy,

Consider that while you (erroneously, as shown in the conclusion to the study) believe that the "young, male" component of immigrants raise crime rates you must also factor in the other immigrants who mainly lower crime rates, and given that they involve families mostly unlikely to commit crimes these outweigh your racist paranoia about foreigners committing crimes, and that this is a Bayesian-type calculation you could do if you were capable.

Which is exactly what the study's conclusion showed, you dumb and incompetent fukker:

Now you can get back to wasting public money on teaching non-academic nonsense in a dressed up polytechnic insted of trying to convince people online that you have anything worthwhile to say about immigration, you sad piece of lonely garbage who gets up at 4am to post furiously about immigrants.

by jalfrezi

You seem to have forgotten the time you memorably tried to prove that immigrants to the UK are criminals by posting a BBC article that in fact showed the opposite, because you hadnt even read it?

So you lied about this.

by jalfrezi

this has shown to be false for various reasons such as changed behaviour and circumstances.

and this.

by jalfrezi

because immigrants are mainly young males.

and this.

by jalfrezi

Consider that while you (erroneously, as shown in the conclusion to the study) believe that the "young, male" component of immigrants raise crime rates

and can't interpret a fairly simple graph.

Then a simple bayes tells me that you're either an idiot, a troll or both.

by jalfrezi

yet this has shown to be false for various reasons

As the conclusion to the very study that you posted said.

by Elrazor

Then a simple bayes tells me

Simple is as simple does.

Life is like a box of chocolates

A quick consideration of Bayes tells me you're probably right.

Unfortunately life does not come with handy drawings and descriptions on the inside of the lid to tell you in advance what you're going to get when you make a choice. If only it bloody did.

Guardian joining in with Migration Observatory in laughing at Elracist.

Guardian joining in with Migration Observatory in laughing at Elracist.

Lol how ****ing dumb can you be - did you even look at the data? or do you just not understand how to read graphs?

it's literally the same data source I shared...

by Elrazor

I know you are not good with words, so here is a pretty picture. Migrant crime rates on average are lower EXCEPT FOR 18-24 YEAR OLDS WHERE IT'S HIGHER. This is exactly what I've spent 3 years trying to get through your thick skull.

Quite, it's the same source, and as I've said countless times, the source you cited refutes your ideas about immigration raising crime rates. This is your "controlled for age and sex" at play, which you don't seem to be able to understand shows that once these factors are taken into account immigrants actually commit less imprisonable crime than the wider population.

I know it's not the result you want, but there's the data, you dumb fukk.

As you're finding this so hard to grasp, allow me to post a pic from the same source with the relevant part highlighted in yellow for you.

I know you see or hear a person with a darker skin and/or speaking a different language and reflexively think "ooooh, a criminal" but it ain't so.

Maybe just stop reading the Mail/Telegraph etc?

by jalfrezi

Quite, it's the same source,

So you admit you're an idiot and didn't check, otherwise why not use the source data?

by jalfrezi

immigrants actually commit less imprisonable crime than the wider population.

I'll add this to the laundry list of lies that you attribute to me, but when I challenge you on it, you can't provide evidence.

You're still confused. The source you cited, Migration Observatory, which was in fact the same source I used to debunk your crackpot theories a few years ago, is, yes, the same source I'm citing from to debunk your crackpot theories now, and states that the data suggest no link between immigration and imprisonable crime rates.

(It's the same as when people cited back at you the BBC article you posted that you erroneously thought was suggesting a link between rising crimes rates and immigration, because that article suggested the opposite.)

And then I kindly made it even simpler for you to understand by posting this, a clip from the same source:

At this point you're just embarrassing yourself.

by jalnazi

debunk your crackpot theories

Which crackpot theories exactly? The ones you are lying about that you think I've said, or ones I've actually said?

by jalnazi

You seem to have forgotten the time you memorably tried to prove that immigrants to the UK are criminals by posting a BBC article that in fact showed the opposite, because you hadnt even read it?

Lie

by jalnazi

Lie

by jalnazi

They do. look at the graph (both of them if it helps)

by jalnazi

immigrants actually commit less imprisonable crime than the wider population.

I’ve never said they don’t

You are a tiresome child whose only response to having his stupid assumptions refuted (by the very studies he claims support them) is to cry "Liar, liar, pants on fire".

Next you'll be claiming you've never stupidly moaned that immigration has reduced your (admittedly already very slim) chances of finding a compatible partner in what you stupidly call the "dating market".

by jalnazi

"Liar, liar, pants on fire"

A quick consideration of Bayes tells me that if the things you are saying are not true, then that kind of undermines your argument...

What the brexit debate should have been about. And need to be revisited. We need to share sovereignty as a committed full member of a democratic largely like minded friendly group that can stand up for itself.

Trump files $5bn defamation lawsuit against BBC over Panorama speech edit

The US has paused its promised multi-billion-pound investment into British tech over trade disagreements, marking a serious setback in US-UK relations.

The £31bn “tech prosperity deal”, hailed by Keir Starmer as “a generational stepchange in our relationship with the US” when it was announced during Donald Trump’s state visit, has been put on ice by Washington.

Starmer bent the knee and has to keep it bent. I'm not sure he has enough knees.
