Hi all,
20/40 mix there is an ep limp and a sb limp and I am bb with (A62)5T and raise to $40. They call. These two Vs are tight passive. Should I raise this hand? With this hand we are ahead for the low probably and in ok shape for the badugi but do I draw 1 or 2 to start?
I decided to draw 1.
2, 1, 2. I bet $20, they call. I draw a J giving me a Jack Jack but I pitch it.
2, 1, 2. I check utg bets $40 we both call. Should I keep the betting lead? I brick again getting a T.
1, 1, 1. We catch nothing good. Checks to utg he bets sb calls and we fold.

When they are both drawing more cards, I would keep the betting lead. Otherwise, I think you played the hand correctly. And if you had kept the betting lead, nothing else would have changed, so it is a minor error that had no impact on this hand.
I'd Draw 2.
I have no way to prove it, but I'm quite certain that would be a mistake. Yes, you reduce your chances of making a 4-card badugi by almost half by keeping the suited 5, but it is just too good of a card to not keep. You can always catch the 5 of the proper suit as well, and now have 652A badugi. And a tri will win a fair amount of the time. It also gives you more ability to push the opponent off a better tri if they don't make a good five card hand to go with it.
I'm with Greg. According to StudFlopDraw its 1.6% better equity to keep the suited 5
I defer to the almighty computer...I will note that D1s get a lot more folds than D2s do, so that would make it even better.
I was thinking our 3 card 6 wasn't quite good enough to reduce our chances for a Badugi, but I guess that is wrong.
Of course there shoud be no open limps, so we are guessing at ranges here.
