Whether you think it’s good or bad for Trump/Hegseth to be blowing these speed boats out of the water, how do they keep getting people to drive/ride in these boats? I don’t think with today’s modern detection equipment any will get through. I wonder what they get paid.

Like I’ve said before, they could be hired fishermen, poor locals, or people paid to do something without fully understanding the risk. Not everyone is going to understand the risk/reward of taking a boat across the water with some delivery - and the people who do understand it are usually the ones hiring others, not actually the ones in the boat. Which is why it's bad to fire at these boats.

They are meeting up with larger boats from my understanding as for folks not knowing what their getting into that is total BS. I suspect these individuals like you said get a years salary or the threats of their children dying a torturous death
I think drone striking a cartel leaders house in Mexico may have a better effect

I never said these larger boats were destined for the USA . Actually I have heard that its more likely Europe . I would also question why they would not follow these boats to see their final destination

Personally I have no issue with it as they have been designated terrorists which they are . I would prefer that they would target the leaders of the cartels and drone strike their homes when they are there. Sadly I do not believe his strikes are about drugs but more about leadership change and oil. Though the actual winner of the election agrees with the strikes.

It's a hard issue to poll. If you ask the question in a very vague way (do you support using military force to prevent drug smuggling), you will get a much higher purported level of support than if you ask in a very specific way (do you support bombing suspected drug smugglers from Venezuela without any form of due process or court authorization).
That said, I haven't seen any statistic like the one lozen cited, no matter how the question is framed.

Maybe you should cite to the actual article you are referring to. The only thing I could find on Task & Purpose, which is an online publication aimed at the U.S. military, was the following:

From the way this article is written, I strongly suspect that the survey in question just asked a general question about the use of military force to stop drug trafficking, which is quite a bit different than a more specific question about bombing drug boats.
