New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

CFA service is insane, I got a breakfast burrito from NOT my home store, and got to front and asked for the salsa (forgot to add to the app order), wasn’t mad or anything just asked for salsa
Next day a reward pops up from that store for a free egg whites grill sandwich and an apology for the “issue I experienced”

14$ for that double French onion shack. But damn it was tasty
Not sure why Taco Bell felt the need to bring back the quesarito, but they did. And it's still not half bad.
Big Shack w bacon and the Chicken Shack. Both were good. Also have a free chicken shack w purchase for creating Shake Shack account.
Stopped by Popeye's last night on the way to the home game. Tried some of their wings. Pretty good, breaded with a little flavoring in there.

do not doubt the flavor graph was likely located somewhere between good and exceptional but unless and if my eyes be lying shake shack might benefit a little from additional attention to white onion ring distribution
They've been redoing an outside area at the shopping mall nearby for quite some time. Saw a story that Shake Shack will be one of the places. Should I be excited?

Tried Zaxby's for the first time. Went with the chicken sandwich. It is very comparable Chick-fil-A. The fries are crinkle cut with some old bay style seasoning. Nice chipped ice for the soft drinks.
There was a line at least an hour long for the first month they were open. I'd probably give the slight edge to CFA because of waffle fries.
What's next on my zaxbys order? Fingerz?
Popeyes virgin here. They just opened a store locally. Any reccos for first-timer? I can't make sense of their menu. It says stuff like "Louisiana this". How am I supposed to know what Louisiana is like, I never been to Louisiana.

My preferences: fried chicken (dark meat), spicy chicken sandwich, fried chicken sandwich.
Sides: red beans and rice (more like red beans flavored rice) and cole slaw. Biscuits are usually good.

Similar order for me. Bone in dark meat fried chicken is my go to. Tenders are good and the nuggets were fantastic when they had those. Spicy chicken sandwich is also very good. I prefer red beans and rice, mashed potatoes or mac and cheese for the side. The fish sandwich they do for lent is my favorite thing they make. Green beans are awful. The only really bad thing on the menu. If you are watching carbs, the naked strips are a great choice.
Popeyes (at least the one by me) has improved greatly with the app. Orders aren't messed up as much and the place is much more efficient overall. It is one of my favorite fast food chains. Don't forget the blackened ranch and make sure to order off the app. They give much better deals than on the menu and lots of rewards.
Only had JJ when they were the pioneer of delivery. Freaky fast. Now I'm with Booker, it's Jersey Mike's for me. Or Firehouse when I'm in the mood for a meatball sub.
Our firehouse has gone downhill. I'd guess some PE firm bought them out as well. But, that sweet and spicy meatball is one of my favorites.
On Jimmy Johns, the Italian with mayo is the only thing I'd get there. The ones around here closed a few years ago.

I agree. Also sides are cheap on Tuesdays and horribly overpriced all other times.
Never had Shake Shack. It appears to be a real restaurant, where the intent is to eat in their place. I don't do that, except very rarely. I drive thru and take it home. Even in Vegas, I usually take it to my room.
I think they are pivoting to drive thrus and smaller locations. I saw a few in Phoenix and Salt Lake that had either just opened or were about to.
