SIDES - Inaugural Game Thread
In this thread, we will play a new word game called Sides. It's somewhat similar to codenames, but cooperative and diff
r8 could be register, which actually doesn’t help clarify the groceries vs schedule question.
haven't thought of much else except C8 could be checkout? so i'm probably on something kinda grocery/purchasing/store related
This is spewy and leads me toward schedule (not as the target, as the clue to march toward). It could also reference shopping, if groceries is the connection. Not sure of a chore/errand clue that s would hit hard, but I’m sure there are options. If it’s groceries, c8 checkout seems better than c9 checklist. Also no c7 cashier. If it’s chore/errand, c8 cleaning fits and could be
Yes, I mentioned checkout and also that it probably would’ve been a better clue for groceries than checklist. And also that there was no c7 cashier confirmer, which would be a pretty big miss for a grocery-related clue (especially if checkout was referenced).
idk how i missed that post OK so ummm
yea so seems like with cashier missing all the grocery/refund/counter type stuff doesn't seem to work
seems kinda unlikely we're getting it this turn so maybe we just fire something and keep it moving
i haven't been able to think of the t5/t6 thing
I did some thinking on the t5/6 thing if you accidentally missed that too.
r8 could be register, which actually doesn’t help clarify the groceries vs schedule question.
This feels way better for schedule synonyms if we’re good with walking away from groceries because of no cashier/counter confirmers.
You said no r6 refund, but one of the confirmers that was offered was r6 (along with r8 and t9). But I’m still off of groceries because of the above.
yea i'm fine with being off groceries
I don't wanna assume they made a mistake with t5/t6, probably just isn't that
an airplane checklist thing they do also came to mind at first but none of that fits, there's a million t5/t6 words so it could be anything
I’m not sure what mistake with t5/6 you don’t want to assume they made.
I was referencing the options of to-do / to-dos and table / tables, both of which fit t5/6 and both of which relate to a checklist. So, I would consider those potential confirmers for our target.
I also listed out some words I think would be decent guesses if, in fact, c8 is calendar, t5/6 is to-do/s or table/s, r8 is register, and the s word is schedule. If you think the above could be the case, then go ahead and bold any one of those words (or a related word you can think of that I didn’t mention).
If none of that works for you, and you don’t have any other ideas, then I agree you should just fire off something to keep things moving.
oooh to-dos instead of todays yea i suppose that could work
i think i like chore or errand the most, and no c5 is another point like you said so i'm cool to try chore if you wanna
I’ve said what I want to do, but have also said that if you want to do something different, then go for it.
what word do you want to bold?

Here’s the list I am referencing (underlined):

If r8 is register, then agenda/diary/datebook make sense to me. I’d also probably add journal and ledger as options. If you don’t like any of those five words, then go ahead and bold something else that makes better sense to you. I understand chore/errand and like their association with checklist/calendar/schedule, but don’t think they hit register as well as the ones I mentioned above. But we don’t know if register is even the confirmer. If you have an r6, r8, or t9 that hits chore/errand, I’d like to know what it is.
r6 raking?
Again, I am fine with whatever you choose to bold.
Ugh, I just thought of r6 retail and r8 retailer. I still hate that c7 cashier wasn’t a confirmer, and that checklist was clued ahead of checkout, but yeah. And of course, shopping could still be the s clue they’re heading toward.
Anyway man, I’m just spinning my wheels here. I trust you to pull the band aid off in whichever direction you see fit. They all but guaranteed this was not possible to get in one.
We can even load the options into random.org/lists and just go with the top one if you want. But I’ve gotta stop thinking about this for a while.
chore
incorrect. not sure how to assign a %
idk what the plan was with T, but S6 is a good confirmer
Yeah, s6 should be the clue if it gets that far. S8 the other obvious confirmer.
that wasn't what I had in mind
well, t5/t6 isn't needed anymore
neither is s8 other than as confirmer
we need to narrow this down properly for them
s6 is a good confirmer and good 3rd clue if needed, but only if it's the right s6
g5 is also a confirmer
different t4/t5 confirmer
another s8 also decent
the other option is s12 next turn gets where I wanted to go and is probably a lil better than s6
but I don't know what we can do with current letters to get them on the right path
How about U6
Or there might be a better U out there, but I think that'll work
if it gets them to the right domain
they already have several words that help with the target, but they need the domain to narrow it down to the right target
we can probably go r10 if we go from the left side and they don't get it
it's similar to the s6 I have in mind and the s12
r10 t5/t6 or r10 checklist is a pretty good combo
maybe q5/q7 or k4/k6 could work to the left of t5/t6 or checklist
but r10 is a better one for that path
Nich, you’re up in the Match B thread.
U6 does basically the same thing as S6. At least the S6 i'm thinking of
