2025 NFL Season Thread: Can Uncle Rico save the Broncos or will they be Nixed?
Greetings friends.
Those of you who know me know me as a Niners fan full of fantastical levels of vitriol and rage. I hav
Lions have been getting $ support all season, but they get boat raced every week. They are the cheap NFC version of the Bills.
Bills, Ravens, Chiefs, 49ers, and Lions have all been injured quite a bit this season, some a little more than others. Only the Bills and 49ers will be in the playoffs this year. Says a lot about the culture, coaching, and front office of those teams.
Agree. They haven't lost at home in the playoffs at Levis and the SB is in their own building. As much heartbreak and bad luck this team has had an oddity year where nobody is close to dominant, maybe 49ers just win it all. 20:1 is stealing money.
And Shanahan is in McVay's head. I will be all over that matchup if it materializes.
I got Bills their most likely opponent in the div round. Just as you want it I'm sure!
I wouldn't mind it! But I've got the Bills most likely opponent being the Steelers in a 5 vs, 4 matchup. I like that better. Not sure I want to go to Jax, tho. Anywhere else is fine. Houston isn't winning that division, probably....I would hate to travel to Houston. Bills do not play well there.

Right, but so have a lot of other teams. Lions were banged up last year and were (falsely) considered the SB fave.
Sometimes injuries can be a good thing, at least for somebody like Purdy who can skip 5 games and peak late in the season.
17 game season is hard.

That is WC round. If Bills win WC round, and other 2 games go to home teams, Bills will be lowest seed and play the highest seed in div round (i.e. bye team).
The Berman Bowl!
Once you get used to his posting you'll realize he's one of the biggest pieces of **** on this forum. Everyone should have him on ignore and the fact he's not banned yet is absurd. But AiM is probably too busy finding his next 10% boost on DK to tell everyone about.
lol I get better than 10% boosts, come on now. And I posted two smashing winners this weekend. I'm the Wholesome Mod who provides for his people!
He's been (seriously) warned by me, he needs to do something truly perma-ban worthy.
He's been recently straddling the line between being a douche (kind of obvious to anyone who reads his posts, but not explicitly against the rules) and a troll (which I can't exactly prove).
Seriously though, for those who arenβt familiar with this clown til he randomly showed up in SE, he is a monumental piece of ****
I actually read some of his posts in Politics, and I have zero disagreement with you on that.

yes, I know all about how the playoffs work :p
The 5 seed would never play the 1 seed in the divisional round, of course. I can see the Bills beating the Steelers, and the two non-home teams beating the Pats and Jaguars....if that happens, Bills could still host a divisional round opponent and the AFC championship game.
A guy can hope lol
Assume Pats are #1 seed, and Bills #5.
WC round:
2-7
3-6
4-5
5 beats 4, 2 and 3 win.
So div round would be:
1-5
2-3

Pinny just posted SB odds. 9ers 12:1 now compared to 20:1 earlier today on DraftKings. That's 61% win equity improvement after a game they figured to lose 35% of the time.

12:1 is more fair. They still gotta win 2 tough games to get the 1 seed and then two more tough games to get to a SB against a good team. Offense looks ridiculously good though healthy and they might get Warner back in the playoffs. I'd trust them more than Sam Darnold if they can beat Seattle at home .
For the Niners to win the Super Bowl they have to win 5 home games over the next seven weeks:
Bars
Pigeons
Bye
LA SEA CHI
SEA CHI LA
Bye
DEN BUF HOU NE JAX (lost to HOU & JAX)
If you think theyβre >10% to do that, then +2000 is a good bet.
Going 5-2 for the season v LA SEA would be ambitious with Bosa Warner & Kittle. They had the easiest schedule up to now and took full advantage of it. Now they have the toughest schedule albeit with an unprecedented HFA. (They have zero chance without the 1 seed)
Not impossible but +3500 seems more accurate.

I took a break from finding my next boost on DK and have taken action as SE Mod.

At the moment 9ers are about 35% to get HFA. That would put them in favorite position to represent NFC in SB, as they will skip WC game and be no worse than +3 in any matchup after that.
Rams are 85% to play 3 games, most likely all road games. Of course WC round they will be 75%+ against NFC south winner. But things will get tough after that.
All things considered Seahawks are in decent shape if they can win on the road against 9ers, but Darnold will need to play the best game of his career.
Bears at 11 is an excellent troll job and I look forward to 87 posts from Mr baseball about it
Nah, i'm good with it π What do I care what some guy on the internet thinks? He has proven to be pretty inacurate all season long. Bears are in the playoffs fo the first time in forever and they have a very legitimate chance. That's all I care about.
I meanβ¦mostly everyone here is aligned on the Bears other than the one eyed Bears supporter
And then theyβre 16th in dvoa, 15th in points differential and 10th in SB betting
So itβs hard to argue that 11th in a power ranking is some insult
The Athletic's Power Rankings - Week 17 - *top 12 only*
1 - SEA
2 - LAR
3 - NE
4 - BUF
5 - JAC
6 - SF
7 - DEN
8 - CHI
9 - HOU
10 - LAC
11 - PHI
12 - GB
lol at Ballard and the Dolts FO for thinking this was their best path forward
