Netflix "Watch Instantly"
I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream
Just discovered that Paramount+ has all (or most) of the old MTV Unplugged concerts. Most of them I never saw when I was younger.
I'm finding Paramount+ to be one of my most watched services. Did not even know they had Unplugged on there, will have to rewatch the classic Nirvana one.
Also of course everything Star Trek is on there which for me is reason enough to subscribe.
It's also good if you have no other way to get your local CBS station.

I just checked, as I am new to Paramount+ because of UFC, but it is not available in Paramount Canada, which is the thing about streaming services and stemming from different countries.

I tried to subscribe to Paramount + through Amazon Prime but then was notified that Paramount + was not available to me because I have a Contour box from Cox Cable. WTF

That is weird... Have you tried to subscribe directly from
???That is weird... Have you tried to subscribe directly from
???Yes they say it is not available with the Contour box - not sure why that's an issue.
Found this in a 2022 support post but they didn't say why. Must be a contractual thing with cox.
"
If you have a Cox Contour, you are unable to subscribe to or watch Paramount+, HBO or Cinemax via Prime Video Channels."
You don't have a smart TV? If you do you just go straight to the Paramount app thru TV not thru cable box.
This would probably work but not sure it is worth the hassle - the only real reason I wanted Paramount + was to check out Landman. I have plenty of stuff to watch without it 😀
Really!?! Ok, I had Landman on my list, but took it out after a very low audience score on RT, but might have to reassess my decision... : https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/landma...

i endured my **** tvs integrated roku, fire and a roku stick as well..
Apple TV is well worth the 175$. Streaming apps finaly work correctly, voice and sounds are clearer(esp with a sound bar) and my plex does not lag or crash with 4k video. Youtube music works much better than with roku/fire. I started buying all streamings because i couldnt pirate above 1080p and even then it wasnt the top 1080p quality for movies because they were too big. Wish i had known this years ago, i would probably only have 1 stream service.

its decent but if youve got an active life and better things to do, its definitely not something that should take time away from life. nobody will remember the show a year after its finale
If anyone wants access to an IPTV I have used for the last 6 months - it is amazing. I stream anything I want, from any streamer, get a VPN, AND watch live TV from anywhere in the world for about $20 a month. I can set you up with the service I use and I gret a small kickback lol.
Don't know if the mods allow this kind of discussion, but feel free to PM me if you're interested.
I don't get cable tee vee from them anymore, but I still get my internet from them, and I came up with a marketing slogan for them: "We're not afraid to call a spade a spade. We're Cox."
That said, they've gotten better in the last few years, customer service-wise at least. Still overpriced.
The P+ interface on my LG smart (ha!) tee vee is the worst UI I've ever had to deal with. Slow, clunky. Half the time I don't get the video, just blue screen. Sound works, so it's not like I not getting signal.
I'm considering cancelling but most of my favorite weekly shows are on there (NCISen, FBIs, [Fire,Sheriff] Country, etc and I'm not about to resort to watching commercials
I have smart TVs and still use my Android TV stick. It's also nice when you travel. I'm not sure if that is ideal, but it works for me.
I have an Nvidia Shield. It's a beast. Handles 3 screens of nfl at the same time with ease. I only have 3 streams at a time available but have seen people running 10 at once, lol. I may get an appletv when they come out with a new one, IF they finally allow audio passthrough.

Doesn't work like that (with Cox at least).
You turn on the TV, if you're not on the cable input, you just get *no signal* on screen. For me, no big deal, I just switch inputs to the one that has the Fire Stick.
If he's on the Cox input, and uses the button on his remote, he's still on Cox when he clicks the Smart hub button and it won't offer Paramount.
I think he needs a device like a Fire Stick or Roku in another HDMI input to get the apps Cox doesn't offer in its SmartHub.
But I'm just guessing.

Landman is great. Watch it

I'm surprised that someone who used to work in the "arts" would be interested in stealing content.
All UFC fights will now be on Paramount+ and no more PPV cards, it's all included with normal sub!
That starts with Paddy the Baddy vs Justin Gaethje on 1/24/26.
