I'm going to have to go with canned beans next time. Coming up on 6 hours simmering and still a little too much crunch to the beans, lol.

If you're wanting to cook them with tomatoes, it's important to precook your beans or they will take a very very long time to get soft.

at thanksgiving we ended up sitting in the kids corner of the table and we kept on asking a four year old his opinion on various things like trump's tariffs and global warming as he was giving very fun answers and then when i asked him about peace in ukraine he just hears "geese" and goes on and on about how much geese suck and that they are up to no good and poop everywhere and they always need to scare them off their property
Made a lentil mushroom bolognese sauce today from a blog called lazycatkitchen. Turned out great:
Dinner was good too if uglier: I made a lentil wrap with sriacha mayo, avocado, and yellow bell peppers.
