Don't think I've ever seen the let them score play to go down 2 scores in the last minute.

Ohio state played two really good teams all year and lost both games (Texas is really good now but they weren't ready in September). The Buckeyes were a fake team glazed by the media all year. Their Offensive line was never championship quality and got exposed the last two games. If Texas played them today they'd also beat them.

Osborne got a lot of karma points for not taking the tie.

Imo that's like getting karma points for not beating your wife. Going for a tie in that spot would've been one of the worst moments in sports history. He'd have to be completely soulless to do that.
