Looks like an obvious call, neh? What % of time do you think AK is currently good? Very close to 0% I guess. Hand should play better with money behind.
We have no fold equity so just a call. Worst case is if we're against nut hearts and pair but even then we've over 40%. Against a set we've got around 55%. It's likely we can still can get value from BB on rivers on which we improve. I don't see many bluffing opportunities, unfortunately, but given our raw equity IP we can be passive on this turn and just sigh give-up if we brick.
Yeh I'd just call - the only argument to jamming is if he's x/r/barreling away here really light but it's tough as we block diamonds.
In game I thought we were equity favorites and jammed.
While there aren't many hands we currently beat, there are some, that we unblock, i.e. 5678 with diamonds. That's basically just a smattering of combos of one hand, so maybe that's not enough incentive to jam. We're probably still equity favourites over enough to jam.
Having said that, we have both implied odds and near perfect visibility on many rivers and are unlikely to get bluffed. Interesting spot. Guess call is best, though it does feel good to get them to fold when they're bluffing with the best hand or them to call it off when miles behind or just get it in vs top set and a wrap and get there anyway. So if feeling good is your goal, and you like a gamble, I doubt you're losing more than like $5-10 in EV by jamming over calling.
Shoving to get value from combos we dominate (e.g. T987ddhh) isn't as attractive, given that we'll get value from them anyway, when most of the draws hit the river. I mean, if we shove and win with AK then I guess that's a significant victory, but there are other run-down combos with a Q or J, too, or even a 4 or 3 (e.g. Ah4h5x6x/4567). If we had ATddKQhh I'd be more on board with shoving turn, even though we lose a wheel gutshot without the deuce.
There is more incentive to shove turn if we are oop. In position I would just call as perceived fe is pretty much zero.
