...make a mental note that V will size up with his 3B's and c-bets. Hope to find a spot to exploit him for max value.

This is what I meant. His 3B range pre is likely so tight, he's not folding JJ+ on TT7 two-tone when he pots it. If we get here with Tx, or 77, we can check-jam, and expect him to call.

When a V like this 3B's us pre, we need to be deep enough that the implied odds warrant continuing with whatever hand we have. We were only getting around 11 to 1 implied odds to call pre. Not quite enough for AQs.

These types tend to c-bet huge on most flops. I want at least 20 to 1 before I'll call with a speculative holding, so when they pot it on the flop, we're deep enough to continue.

Like, if he had $750 to start the hand, and he pots it on the flop, he'd still have $600 in his stack. We can call the $100 and still have around 2 SPR going to the turn, or we can x-jam the flop, and put a ton of pressure on his over-pairs.

One other thought, by way of having a useful heuristic for spots like this.

When the board is paired and there are plausible draws we can have, our opponents' actions tell us what part of our range they're focused on. If he was worried we had 77 or Tx, he wouldn't have potted it. His big c-bet indicates he's worried about being out-drawn. If he thinks our most likely holding is a draw, he's less likely to fold to our jam.
