^^^ the best show ever!!!

Every single time I hear the HBO static plus hum opening, this is the song that plays in my head no matter what show I'm actually watching.

just the best....and don't forget the in-episodes theme song - sung by a different artist every season:

hbo show theme songs could be a separate category

Treme has been on my shortlist to binge rewatch for a while now. Only saw it when it originaly aired week by week and enough time has passed so it should be a very entertaining marathon. Probably do it after the New Year.

treme was insanely disapointing, you could always tell it was very close to being amazing but never quite put it together and eventually got canceled before they could even follow through with most plot lines

Arena theme must be one of the most melancholy pieces of music ever.

I always liked the Play for Today theme. It's melancholy too, to my mind.

isn't this thread about the songs and not the shows
posting up fully aware of the mrbb brush back pitch

More melancholia. I've never met anyone who's seen One Summer.

Cmon, watch Episode One of One Summer. It's good.

If we're getting a little more obscure, I always thought this was a terrific theme, from a excellent series about the history of the nuclear age. Sorry, I couldn't find the isolated theme, but it's in full at the start

And the start shows Oppenheimer giving his 'destroyer of worlds' speech. Chilling.
