NBA 2025-26 Season Thread: THE NY KNICKS ARE CHAMPIONS! BING BONG!
Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
DQ confirmed GOAT?
I watched that man so many times while at MD and I was enamored by his play. So many pundits thought his size and lack of shooting wouldn't translate (tbf, not a terrible concern), but he is such a ****ing skilled beast doing the things he's doing at his size.
Better than where he was drafted. No question in that. But not worth giving up the pelicans 2026 pick for.
If they thought he was good enough to trade that pick then they should have just taken him earlier.
ATL gonna be sick if they can dump Trae for something good.
oh my ****ing good
brutal hornets loss, but that was a fun game
hornets were playing so well the whole game and you just felt it coming in the 4th q. and then lamelo essentially wins it, until he doesn't :/
Washington should be forced to take back Poole and have the most hilarious backcourt in history
Did Trae ever explain why he wanted to go to the Wizards? Did he just want to go somewhere where he could shoot it 30 times per game and not even have to pretend to play defense?
(he's running)
Hawks weren't going to pay him, Wizards might.
yeah. I knew that he was OK leaving the Hawks. Were the Wizards the only team willing to trade for him who might pay him? Because I feel like the Wizards would be close to my last choice of where I would actually want to play if I were him.

Only real way we'll find out is if he declines his Player-Option and tests free agency -- and we get intel on real offers / interest in him.
Wizards might actually do well with him (they have a bunch of young players who he can maximize offensively as a point guard) and they could extend him before he has to exercise his player option or not.
Btw, the Knicks own the Wizards 2026 pick, and it's protected 1-8. So yeah now I'm a Wizards fan.. the Knicks landing the #9 pick in a loaded draft would be friggin awesome.
Nothing like ending a 13 game losing streak for the worst team in the league.
Gambling is out of control.
You’re right about that. But also makes it tough to be a non gambling fan.
This is the crux of the issue. If the NBA is not making a compelling enough product those short terms gains from gambling fans aren't going to convert to loyal and profitable long term viewers. It's pretty short sighted to think the NBA will continue to grow and compete for public attention without real innovation
Zion Williamson
4-4 on 3's in the first game of his career.
So far he's never even attempted 4 in game since. Even 3 attempts has only happened a couple of times.
Always wondered why Bird didn't coach the Celtics. With their great propensity for hiring their ex or current players as head coaches, it seemed a no-brainer. So I just looked it up. It looks like the Celtics had signed the great Rickie P right when Larry started his coaching career.
