5/10/20 facing river bet from fish.

5/10/20 facing river bet from fish.

5/10/20 NL, 2k effective. Casino in Seoul, South Korea.

Villain is splashy Chinese businessman with a big stack.

Preflop: Hero (MP) AsAc opens 80, SB calls, V (STDL) calls.

Flop (250) 9d7s3h: H cbets 100, V calls.

Turn (450) 3s: H 300, V c/r 600, H calls.

River (pot 1650, 1150 behind) Th: V 700, H ?

What do you make of the turn click, and the non all in size river? Possibly he thought we were deeper.

Not sure how much it matters but is this adjusted to USD, or is it Korean money?

Anyway, I would bet big on this flop, especially against a fish. What pairs is he folding? He's gonna likely fold something like KJ anyway.

If I had bet small on the flop, I would now bet pretty big on the turn. Board paired. Probably doesn't have a lot of 3s, but he'll have some. Much better than a 9.

Between call and jam on the turn cr. I lean to a jam because if he has picked up a combo draw or something why let him play perfectly, and stuff like that. He could wind up bluffing on a terrible river card, or even jamming 2 pair if he is that clueless and making us fold. If he has a boat or a 3 he is probably stacking me anyway.

River call.

Its KRW values divided by 1000, equivalent to AUD or 0.69 USD.

Flop 3 ways still ok to bet big given V in the STDL?

Thanks, advice makes sense.

How splashy is he? Has he played hands like this before? What does he usually end up with on the river? How does he see you?

I probably call river w/o more info.

In theory, my understanding is that you should bet small multiway.

In practice I would deviate from this and target the fish cuz i have aces and because of the board texture.

Since this is fairly big stakes you probably want to be a bit more careful, in general but I think we can be a little face up here.

Im calling river but your flop bet needs to be much bigger for value

Flop and turn sizings are good. I would continue versus the minimum turn raise.

River sizing is pretty small. We are getting a very good price, so I would lean towards calling unless we had some strong live tells on Villain. Might be a good spot to probe Villain for info.
