true, i went and believed the ppl who said that maye is good. my b :(

we were due for a dud of a game. can't complain

Putting Den-Bills and 9ers-Hawks both on Saturday seems odd. Would have thought those would be the featured games.

Amusingly one thing i took away from this game is that Herbert is really good. Two backup tackles and a practice squad RB. Not his best game obviously but he is for real.

Words cant describe the anger

Good foosball weekend. I wish the dud had waited until tomorrow night while I'm watching P&E yukking it up about Fraudgers.

Exceeded expectations for Field Goal Weekend!

I'm probably wrong. (Not unheard of)
I think 1.Chargers evolved from when Norv was there and they had #1 Defense and #1 Offense and missed the playoffs. I may be wrong (again), but I think ntanygood (sp?) originated 1.Chargers.

I have unapologetically extrapolated others' earlier work to suit my own momentary needs 😉

Words cant describe the anger

The originator of 1.Chargers AFAIK.

That being said, I understand the anger. I'm a very casual x.Chargers fan, but they have been underachievers for so long that I did hope that Herbie + the Crazy Harbaugh would equal a competitive team. I know I'm disappointed, so I can only imagine how true Chargers fans feel. Better luck next year!

1Chargers baby Feb 2027.

1.Chargers actually comes from the year they had the number 1 defense and number 1 offense by yards and still missed the playoffs. That is how I remember it at least. But I carried the torch after that.

I thought it was because iggy inexplicably put them 1 in his power rankings for some reason. Or was that the Eagles?

I remember 4. eagles

Oh yup he was 4. Eagles but he was also 1. Chargers! I've found it - it was that season they were first in offense/defense

1. Chargers 4-5 (2)2. Ravens 6-2 (3)3. Steelers 5-2 (4)4. Colts 5-3 (1)5. Titans 5-3 (6)6. Jets 6-2 (7)7. Packers 6-3 (8)8. Giants 6-2 (10)9. Eagles 6-2 (11)10. Patriots 6-2 (5)11. Falcons 6-2 (9)12. Saints 6-3 (13)13. Vikings 3-5 (14)14. Texans 4-4 (15)15. Dolphins 4-4 (12)16. Chiefs 5-3 (16)17. Raiders 4-4 (17)18. Browns 3-5 (22)19. Lions 2-6 (18)20. Redskins 4-4 (20)21. Bear

The 2010 Chargers are noted for having both the No. 1-ranked offense and defense, the first team to do so since the 1996 Green Bay Packers. However, a struggling special teams unit caused the Chargers to lose five of their first seven games, each of which was by a one-possession margin

from wiki

dual meaning apparently

Assuming that was 2010 Chargers

I thought it was because iggy inexplicably put them 1 in his power rankings for some reason.

That's definitely where 1.Chargers started.

by tabbaker m

We've discussed the 2010 Chargers on here before but here's a nice video showing how the number 1 offense and defense missed the playoffs and puts into context how good the team actually was.

by wheatrich m

2010 afc west had the raiders sweep the division and also miss the playoffs. I don't believe that has happened before or since.

Was a special division that year.

Pats continue their streak of beating up on cupcakes

Thread arrived at the proper conclusion. 1. Chargers was an iggymcfly thing, man did SE ever get mad at him for standing pat on his rankings for that entire season. He was a true pioneer and a bastion against results oriented thinking.

The Eagles were lousy in the entire second half of the season, going 3-4 the last 7 games with 2 of the wins being against horrible teams, and no impressive performances the last 9 games. The 49ers were better. What you do for 9 straight games is what you are, not an aberration. They collapsed up 21-0 at Dallas and were never any good after that. Their entire edge disappeared. Seems to me.
