Is it just me or does this sort of thing happen to Gobert more than it does to all other NBA players combined?

I legit have no idea what the Warriors do now. I guess you still trade Kuminga for a bag of beans because the relationship is irreparably broken, but I no longer see the point of shipping a bunch of draft picks for this year value.

Curry is never going to leave Golden State, even if the Warriors made it clear that they would trade him with no hard feelings if he wanted one more playoff run. And nobody will take on Jimmy's salary for any reason at his age with this injury. I honestly think that there is a case to be made for Curry retiring at the end of the season. It's a truly hopeless situation.

The more I think about this, the more convinced I am that Curry should get traded to a playoff contender. It's better for him, and honestly, it's better for the Warriors.

It would be easy for the Warriors and Curry to mutually describe such a trade as an sincere effort by Curry to leave the Warriors in the best position possible after his career is over.

We'll send Melo for him, that way the Warriors can have a redo of their 2020 draft decision.

Is there no rebuilding team willing to accept a salary dump for the remaining year and a half of Butler's contract?

Is there some crazy Butler for Zion Williamson trade (with other assets included) which would allow New Orleans to get out of their contractual obligations in the summer of 2027? Or are the Pelicans being stubborn in their beliefs about Zion's value?

Some team must be willing to take on dead salary in exchange for some first round draft picks from a post-Curry Warriors.

I'm sure there is, but mortgaging your future to get you back to a level that is slightly to moderately below where you were with Jimmy doesn't seem like great business. Even before Jimmy got hurt, this team needed to stay healthy and add a player like MPJ to have a legitimate chance at reaching the Western conference finals.

The Warriors don't have nearly enough assets to replace Jimmy and get another good player.

Putting Zion and Draymond on the same team would be entertaining. Draymond loves guys who are out of shape and not particularly committed to playing defense.

Get Steph to the Lakers!!!!

I was just going to ask you what the ham is going on with the Knicks and as per usual you're on step ahead of the herd.

GS's comments about not trading Butler lead me to believe that Curry is neither asking for a trade nor expecting the Warriors to compromise the next eight years of the franchise in order to maximize his remaining years.

I think you are going to see some sort of sad, fan service trade -- maybe Kuminga and other assets for Klay and Daniel Gafford--that results in the Warriors losing in the play-in (or immediately thereafter) this year and probably next year as well. I don't think you will ever see Curry play meaningful playoff basketball again.

Everything ends badly or it wouldn’t end.

Curry’s prime ended up being way longer than most would have though, I’d say. They had chances to stay on top. Missing with their high picks in those reset years really hurt. The Poole thing. Never adapting to the increasing need to have more size.

Overall the org did “fine” - light years ahead tho

Winning 4 chips with 2 other finals appearance after 30 years of nothingness, while increasing the value of your franchise from $450M to 11.3B in 15 years is a little better than "fine".

Mike Brown probably deserves to get fired.

KAT has been way too zesty and emotional. He’s acting out because he’s been made the scapegoat by Brown.

Trying to do too much on offense while ****ing up on D. And don’t even get me started on his dumb as **** fouls.

Sure. I wasn't suggesting that Curry's career is winding down in some sort of unusual way or that GS's management has been bad over the last fifteen years. I was just making a dismaying prediction about what I think is likely in the next 18 months. Drafting Kuminga at 7 overall wasn't great, but he is a legitimate NBA scorer who will end up playing in the league for a dozen years. Wiseman at 2 overall, on the other hand, was a total disaster. It happens. The core of the dynasty obviously was built off of three great draft picks.

I didn't know Rivals week was a thing and I doubt anyone care

Pretty laughable those fake attempts at trying to keep the regular season relevant

recently discovered the #1 hs prospect plays in seattle - going to go to a game and watch Tyran Stokes in person for $8

Also hilarious saying CLT and Cleveland are rivals, lol.
Time to whoop that ass, though.

He was apparently kicked out of Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks for fighting. Maybe you'll get to see him land a nice two piece on someone.
