I'm not. My grandparents were all born in the USA and my great grandparents were all born in Europe somewhere. (one might have been technically Asia - Turkey, but she wasn't Turkish)

I would take this bet at 10-1 mostly because you made me research it a bit there were earlier waves. but even if there was only the 1 wave I would take that bet at better odds. There was like 70 of them arrested one is very very likely. you come in 1980 immediately have a kid hes 23. your kid has a kid at 23. That is not even extreme they could have had kids in their teens thats like 6 or 7 years of wiggle room. Twitter carried hard this was the reported numbers over 20 days ago. add on tiktok and instagram and its easily 200 million+. The only people who didn't see it apparently are in this thread
Twitter counts views as 50% of the video being visible for at least 2 seconds, which includes auto-play videos. Even with those numbers it's still not close to the most viewed (non-music) video on youtube, which I found at >800million from a quick search.
Just on the face of it though, the idea that 100s of millions of people have watched this 40 minute long video is completely absurd and the fact that you even considered it feasible that it's the most viewed (non-music) video ever makes me think your media literacy is on a similar level to your knowledge of US law.

I believe the dumb metric they used to make it sound important was it was the most viewed long form video over 10 minutes other then a mr beast video. Anyway this is a media problem the metrics are still true. Theres also react videos on it with millions of views. I just looked at a controversal right wing streamer and he covered it like 8 times each with over 1.5 million views each time. I first saw it when destiny covered it they dont even count live streaming views where it got at least another million. half the population of the united states still glazed it thats just the zoomer life. your arguments more against how people view videos then the metrics of the video

But you made the point in a way to say that it was crazy that people wouldn't have seen it. I would guess that the median time of actively watching it is almost certainly under 10s and that a large minority didn't even consciously register seeing it at all. Even with the reach it has on twitter it's still unlikely for a random person to have any knowledge of it unless they were actively in the right-wing news sphere to some degree (even if just due to getting general news from SM, not specifically right-leaning). I'm a weird case as I'm not in North America but I follow politics somewhat actively, just not getting any of it from SM, and I hadn't heard about the situation at all until it was brought up on this forum.

I can say 'how are you' in Swahili (not that anyone couldn't look it up). I learned a little Swahili when I was about 18 because my aspiration at the time was to go to Africa and make nature documentaries. Did not happen.

I wasn't there so hard to say but it was big deal within their community but I remember getting the story from my friend's daughter (who was 17 at the time and still a good hijab wearing Muslim) who was like "yeah that bitch is crazy".

No question this has gone to far . No one should be able to enter ones home without a warrant or for extenuating circumstances and you think an Illegal immigrant is in the house is not one of them.
