Winning 4 chips with 2 other finals appearance after 30 years of nothingness, while increasing the value of your franchise from $450M to 11.3B in 15 years is a little better than "fine".

I meant from when they started publicly talking about how smart they were and the two tracks thing - as in the part where they already knew they had an all time superstar who could give them a shot every single year.

Knacks challenging up 50 is just mean for the sake of mean

GS's comments about not trading Butler lead me to believe that Curry is neither asking for a trade nor expecting the Warriors to compromise the next eight years of the franchise in order to maximize his remaining years. I think you are going to see some sort of sad, fan service trade -- maybe Kuminga and other assets for Klay and Daniel Gafford--that results in the Warriors lo

I think some of this is true, but only some

Curry has enough rings and enough of a legacy as the god of the warriors that he’ll definitely never ask for a trade. And being as how he basically built chase center and is the only draw the dubs will have in the next decade they won’t be inclined to trade him with or without his request

Kerr’s gone after this year. I expect (see: pray) dray is gone this year or in the offseason. Butler isn’t an asset right now and I don’t envision any scenario where the dubs appease kuminga’s trade demands when no team with half a bit of common sense trades anything of value for him

The biggest mistake the dubs made was that whole ‘two generations’ off-season where the most overrated GM in history tried to draft the future while committing to a coach who had zero interest in building for the future. That’s a sunk cost of abject stupidity like nothing I’ve ever seen. Also why is that ****ing buffoon still a talking head on TV? **** him, he sucks

The best solution the dubs have is to rebuild on the fly knowing curry is untouchable and, to your point, unlikely to ever play meaningful basketball again. Dray needs to gtfo and fingers crossed butler and kuminga have value next year. Beyond that, whatever, I grew up on kicu 36 and the only all star of my childhood choking out his head coach, everything from this point on is found money

Curry's legacy with the Warriors would be secure even if he asked to be traded. The Warriors definitely would trade Curry if he asked to be traded. In all likelihood, he won't ask, but if he did, they 100% would honor the request.

Kerr’s gone after this year.

Probably.

Unlikely imo unless Curry is gone as well. There is no universe in which Draymond is gone unless Curry wants him gone, and I don't see any evidence that Curry wants him gone.

Butler isn’t an asset right now

He obviously isn't an on the floor asset. But he theoretically could be a vehicle for a team to dump an even more unwieldly contract on the Warriors. Jimmy has guaranteed money through next year. Guys like Paul George and Anthony Davis have one more year of guaranteed money than Butler.

I don’t envision any scenario where the dubs appease kuminga’s trade demands when no team with half a bit of common sense trades anything of value for him

I don't agree. I think Kuminga was almost guaranteed to be traded prior to Jimmy's injury, even if they couldn't get much back. With Jimmy's injury, I would now put the odds at closer to 50/50.

I remember him being on TV talking about the two timelines plan with the biggest **** eating grin I've ever seen from an NBA executive.

Well, you're eating **** now you punk bitch (not at SRM but that jackass who I dont even care to google his name).

Curry/Draymond/Klay did everything but practically beg the organization to trade the picks for win now talent too.

They had a chance to double the score on the Nets tonight, something surely never seen in an NBA final score in the modern/shot clock era?? They were up 120-61 with a minute to go.

The part that was especially weird about drafting Kuminga and Wiseman is that both players were widely regarded as players who were super athletic but players who would need a considerable amount of time to learn how to play NBA basketball. They weren't plug and play guys at all, which is what the Warriors should have been focusing on if they weren't going to trade the picks. I don't know that there was a player in the 2020 draft who fit the profile and who deserved to be drafted with the #2 overall pick so the Warriors probably should have traded down that year.

In 2021, however, there were several players who fit the plug and play profile immediately around the range of where the Warriors drafted Kuminga (#7 overall), most notably Franz Wagner, who was drafted #8 overall and who would have fit well on the Warriors.

Also hilarious saying CLT and Cleveland are rivals, lol.
Time to whoop that ass, though.

Dumbass.

Big game for NYK vs. PHI this weekend.

Yeah there was definitely chatter how the Warriors shouldve traded down from #2 (and collect an asset, be it a player or another pick) since Wiseman wasn’t NBA ready. Lamelo they considered immature at the time and not a good fit them.

In '11 the Lakers were up on the Cavs 109-53 with 1:10 to go.

Ended up 112-57. Ramone Sessions saved them the ignominy.

They were correct on both counts re Lamelo.

As a Lakers fan, I was never a fan of Doncic. Now that he's a Laker, I hesitantly root for him. But I'm stuck on something that perhaps some of the knowledgeable NBA fans in here can help me with.I don't think Doncic's style of play can ever win an NBA championship. I'm just not a fan of the pound, pound, take a contested shot or pass the ball w/ 4 seconds left on the clock, or

This is some fallguy type of analysis. Luka is one of the few players who you can actually build a championship team around. The basic fact is that elite shot creation and shot making is in extreme short supply. The guy is a one man offense. Just sit back and enjoy as the Lakers are gonna be relevant for years now.

Steph really likes living in the Bay. He lives in the richest town in the country (so elite it doesn't have a single restaurant), and kid goes to most expensive private school in the country. He doesn't need to ring chase and spend so much time traveling home. It would need to be a west coast team to be tenable

Mike Brown probably deserves to get fired.

KAT has been way too zesty and emotional. He’s acting out because he’s been made the scapegoat by Brown.

Trying to do too much on offense while ****ing up on D. And don’t even get me started on his dumb as **** fouls.

Mike Brown must be homophobic

I want Luka and Jokic to team up in 2027.

Add two 3+D wings
Add a rim protecting floor spacing PF

Print Rangzzzzzz

If I was coach of the Knicks I’d tell KAT to embrace his zestyness and that I support him emotionally.

He of course doesn't need to do anything. On the other hand, he also has enough money to do things in the easiest possible way for him and his family. That said, I don't think he is going anywhere.

yeah I'd be surprised if he landed somewhere else..... hard to trade for him with his salary too.

I can't be the only one who thinks the new CBA kind of sucks. It's so hard to make trades now with this apron crap.

It would be super easy to move him imo, but I agree that he isn't likely to request a move.

if its so easy then I'm going to go Old School 2p2 on you, and suggest you "Show Your Work".

Pick a destination he would want to go to, and a trade that works within the constraints of the current CBA / apron rules.

Sixers just got robbed. That ruling makes zero sense.

Inadvertent whistle (which happened AFTER that goal tend) so they cannot review the prior goaltend?

Oh?
You can only a reverse a previously called goaltend in the last two minutes. You cannot review a goaltend that was not called.

What a game right now.

embiid with 32/15/10 ----> fair to say that he's back.

correct

Ayton is terrible. Lakers need to run more Luka/LeBron PnR. Defensive intensity is an issue.
