I lived in NYC for 10 years and know a ton of people there still.

That guy won because, in order:
-The other options were terrible
-He’s personable, likeable, and an attractive charismatic guy
-He came up with somewhat realistic policy positions that would affect everyday people’s lives
-Once he got some steam, national media lined up to profile and give him attention

His not being virulently pro-genocide was way down there in the list of voter priorities. He’s a Muslim. Of all the stuff during his campaign, he had to be the most careful about Israel. It’s like the one thing he had to watch his words about.

You might be a one issue voter who brings up dead babies in every convo, but most people aren’t. It is not accurate that he campaigned on anti-Zionism and used it get in power and is now lining his pockets with silver.
