$100k Profit in 2026 playing Zoom!

Been playing zoom for years and years with moderate success. Recently been taking it all a lot more serious, trying to put myself in a position where I'm putting away decent money for the future. Right now I'm the most confident I've ever been in Poker and going to use this blog to record the journey and keep me focussed. December was my most profitable month ever, around $14k with rakeback. I'm a select member on Pokerstars, so getting around 55% rakeback on average.
Goals for the year:
- Average 150k hands/month
- Study at least 1 hour/ day of anything
- Beat 100z/200z for as high a winrate as possible
- Play some higher stakes in live poker (London/Barcelona/Madrid/wherever)

Ok lets goooo. Great start, volume is alright but could be studying a bit more consistently. Working with CrazyAndy which is a huge help, trying to turn the worst parts of my game into the best. Definitely losing focus and punting here and there too. Hopefully will play mostly 200z in the next few weeks, but gonna try drop to 100z when I think its tough.

what is a select pokerstars member and how does one become it?
Its a rakeback category you can get into if you play enough. It says you need to rake $50k in a year to get into it, but I emailed them last year and they responded this:

How long has this select scheme been a thing on Stars? If I'm calculating it correctly, getting enrolled in that would require like 80k hands of 100NLz per month, and 50% RB would bring total net rake down to just a little bit above 3 bb/100, which doesn't actually sound bad at all these days.
How would that compare to their post RB/chest/whatever net rake bb/100 playing the same game but with a lower volume that doesn't reach the select threshold, say one would play 50k hands per month?

If you got select and raked $200/day (100-120k/monthish) you'd get 54% back, $3240. It's also the everyday rakeback, it makes shot taking easier since you're not working towards a chest that takes 20 days to complete. If you're grinding 100nl+ on stars I'd try get it asap.

Yeah figured thanks, just wanted a clarification and all you said sounds about right. Is it also so that when you send them a message and ask to be enrolled based on contributing the required amount of rake during the last 3 months, the select scheme trial period starts immediately once accepted into it with all the benefits? Meaning no waiting period before starting to get the daily RB?

Pretty goooood start, playing mostly 200z. Still not taking enough time out of grinding to study, so focusing on that this week. Playing less hands than I intended but thats aite, especially if I'm playing 200z. Ok lets gooooo.

Just used to pokerstars, but might spend a couple of months grinding GG volume to see how it is.

Still going great, also got promoted to select+ which means 60% rakeback everyday. The trial is quite difficult, need to rake $25k in 3 months so we'll see. Just gonna keep doing what I'm doing, ok lets gooo.

You are absolutely killing it my guy let’s go!
I will say if you begin to get tired then make sure to just ask them to put you back on Select: I think me trying to push for Select + probation was a big part of my burnout really.
Nice results! Are you part of CFP or are you more like a lonely wolf? What does you study looks, GTO wiz AI or more MDA? Are you playing ''only'' 3 zoom tables at the same time? 600hand/hour indicates that
Lone wolf for the most part lol, been working with CrazyAndy but not in a CFP. GTO heuristics/drills, some courses and yeah MDA a bit. I play 4 zoom tables, the overall hands/hr is partly due to the pool not fully running (15-20 ppl a lot and you wait between hands sometimes), also a lot of little breaks during sessions.

Took some shots at 500nl that didn't go so well, but $15k for 2nd month in a row is a pretty good situation to be in. Might take a couple weeks off to work on some parts of the game I'm unsure in. Ok lets go!
This is cool to see, it shows what is possible with hard work. I'm not sure what stakes I'll land at, I'm currently at 25nl, I started at 5nl with practically nothing. I'm confident I'll at least reach 50nl, 100nl + would be awesome. I guess time will tell.
I'm curious how you got started? What did your initial start on stars look like? What stakes did you start at?
Also any advice for someone trying to grind up a roll at the micros and gradually move up?
