california leaving makes more sense. its a coastal territory with the gdp above the entirety of Canada.
Alberta leaving makes sense outside of geography but it would have too many borders for such a population to handle. But as a citizen it makes total sense you would pretty much be Norway where the oil money pays for everything and everyones pretty much a millionaire with free healthcare and college because you have so much resources per person. America would never let that happen tho. Alberta has nearly as much oil reserves as Saudi Arabia so ain't no one gonna let them be independent.
