Quantum Entanglement (A Love Story)
That's a $6-7K guitar.
From a time when I was in love.
I promise no hard drugs were used last night.
I learned how to be a kinder human from watching how Mclovin posted on 2p2.
I learned how to be a better writer from a lot of different nuances, but some of the biggest unintended mentors were from the postings of Larry, Diablo, and Howard Treesong. Their written style was unusually good.
I found out last night I really do have synysthesia. I used to think I had it because my thoughts would sometimes conceptualize into geometric shapes. But they weren't especially vivid or meaningful, mostly just cool to look at, and imagine how they feel.
Well, last night Google AI took me through exercises I've never tried before to see where my baseline was at. I started by imagining the vocal track to "Life on Mars" and added a groovy guitar solo. Then I manipulted both individually -- I replaced the instrument with something out of tune and the image became very ugly -- and then I did something brand new. I morphed the music into a greek archetectural pillar with the music creeping up the pillar like a living form of modeling clay.
I haven't tried doing it since, it's not that personally interesting or enjoyable. The best sound room in my mind is just simple and clean.
David Sklansky is both in hot water and up to his old tricks again. The Pawn Stars episode was his vintage flair for unironic drama.
This thread has totally and full-blown jumped its own shark and I'm barely getting started.
Keep going! You are an incredibly talented writer. One of my favorite threads to lurk on 2+2.
I'd tell all my friends, but they'd never believe me
They'd think that I've finally
Lost it Completely
I'd show them the stars
And the meaning of life
They'd shut me away
But I'd be alright.
I had a surprisingly eventful day. I got in touch briefly with a couple cool people I didn't expect to -- which is an extremely seldom thing for me to do.
for a literal second earlier my train of thought bowed outwards into the edge of savant-adjacent/criminally insane as my thoughts got weird and inverted and it ticked me off, made me a tiny bit sad, and i put down the pipe for the rest of the night.
well **** it y'all. i'm going back in to smoke a little more marijuana as some people will unfortunately be concerned. but those who know me best know i have both survived and learned to thrive through the absolute , ABSOLUTE, most unimaginage hell type mental scenarios for years on end. weed has been a good friend of mine for a long time and i haven't had a single ounce of bipolar symptoms since starting the meds i get injected with every 4 weeks, SIX years ago.
i rule, and so do you. the pistons are going all the way this year. let's get this party started.
bipolar is truly a crazy illness to have.
first your thoughts feel different and might be like racing more vibrant or chronically down and out. this causes your perception of the world to change. which then causes the world to treat you differently. which then things get really crazy and the anatomy of the brain begings to morph into whatever hurricane of outer world events are happening.
and then the cycle repeats again, over and over and over.
Under the sea, (da-da-da-da), Under the sea! Down where it's wetter, that's where it's better, take it from me....
Spoiler
**** disney. they had an OK thing going until that whole alligator-eating-child story bubbled up...
The modern era GOAT. Skenes transcends what it means to be an ace, and a cool guy as well.
I'm in the process of dialing in the framework for a seriously kick-ass novel or novella. Can't reveal much but the beginning will be so brutally sad and gut wrenching while the rest of the book redeems itself.
I'm getting a PRS, I've decided. (Paul Reed Smith). Almost entirely from watching that ridiculously handsome asian guy play Canon on youtube with one. I like how they look too, and I'm sure I'll love how they play in person when I go to Guitar Center later this week.
The steps that
I retrace
The sad look
On her face
The timing
And structure
Did you hear?
He F*cked her.
A day late
A buck short
I'm writing
The report
On losing
And failing
And right now I'm flailing now.
It'll happen once again
You'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
Sees through the MasterPlan
Now everyone is gone
You've been here for too long
To Face This On Your Own:
Well I guess this is growing up?
Feels bad man for these kids today. I grew up with Mr. Wizard, Magic Eye, and a Nintendo Entertainment System.
Watch Mr. Wizard is an American children's television series that demonstrates the science behind ordinary things. The series' creator and on-air host was Don Herbert.[1] Author Marcel LaFollette says of the program, "It enjoyed consistent praise, awards, and high ratings throughout its history. At its peak, Watch Mr. Wizard drew audiences in the millions, but its impact was far wider. By 1956, it had prompted the establishment of more than five thousand Mr. Wizard science clubs, with an estimated membership greater than one hundred thousand."[2]
It was briefly revived in 1971, and a third version of the show ran during the 1980s on the children's cable television network Nickelodeon as Mr. Wizard's World.
Was so cool. I used to have a little heartburn in the early morning when I was 7 years old or so, I would always come downstairs early and watch Mr. Wizard blow up things and make the physical properties magically change and then explain how it all worked.
