Live ~ are we supposed to 3bet maniac with AAxx
2/2, 5 bring in 7 handed
Many times last night we found ourself w/AAxx trash not sure what to do vs a gambler.
He would have maybe 80% pfr.
3b% maybe 25~30%.
When he 3bets he is willing stick his stack in with whatever trash he 3bets with.
He often gets tilted then spew nonstop, then stops(plays more passively) after he wins a big pot. Tilts again after he loses a big pot.
He is 2 seat to our right, and the direct right seat always flat.
It often goes like this, villain opens 20~25, then a call
Then we pick up aaxx trash. Are we supposed to 3bet? Postflop he's very sticky, likes to x/c then come donking turns/rivers with air/value.
Or we pick up AAxx trash in utg, are we supposed to open then pray he 3bets then we stick it in.
Effective is around 400~600
I find myself lost in such spot. Flop he often plays passively.
We have a tight opening/3betting range, a session prior he never 3betted our open once, he was going apeshit vs others.

I don't mind gii vs a maniac w/ AAXX. Even better to 3bet if he thinks you are too tight. I hope you are not too tight and are 3beting him a little wider (good rundowns, etc.)?
Of course, it depends on who's behind you...
UTG just depends on how bad my AA is, who else is at the table, etc.

Not 3betting him with rundowns when he might 4bet get it in.
The thing 3betting is I fear he just calls
Then the other guy calls as well. Spr will be something between 1-4.
The other guy will donk out in such spr with what board he deemed good for his range.
What??? That is a leak -- and a losing way to play PLO. (I just 3bet someone w/ 8dTdJsQs and took their stack -- they had JJXX.)

Who cares? Play poker. This is another reason we widen our 3bet range.
Depends on a ton of factors. How deep are we, what suits, how connected, who has position on who etc.
If we are OOP we are 3b and 4b a lot to reduce SPR
If we are IP and deep we have a lot of flats with marginal aces
Do we need to isolate vs a field? Are we heads up.
There’s too much to give a narrow answer. I suggest you study with mastermind or RIO. You seem to just be out here winging it based on your posts and looking for answers to questions that aren’t really questions if you are a studied player. You obviously take the time to contemplate decisions which means you care.
Care about yourself and invest in your game away from the table. Mastermind has an excellent 30 day study plan to build a foundation. Start there.
You're scared he'll just call a 3-bet when you have aces... but you're also scared he'll 4-bet pre when you have a rundown? Your fears are contradictory.
Obviously if you're ever going to 3-bet, you can't do it with only aces, because even a maniac will figure out the pattern and play perfectly against your exposed hand.
Move to his right and never raise.
