AKo in the CO facing a BTN 4bet from a whale
1/3. Rake/promo/tip is 6+3+2. 20 min $500 high-hand promotion. My second time on the 1/3 table, and I lack experience ranging the many 4bets. On the 1/2 table, because so many Vs call instead of raising, the strategy is raise the limpers and three-bet light. 4bets from loose passives usually just QQ+, AKo, and some Vs call three-bets even with KK. Here at 1/3, players fight back 3bets with 4bets, and I lack experience to range these 4bets.
V1 (220) is tight-weak.
V2 (covers) is a whale who regularly gets himself pot committed. He three-bets light. He calls big bets on all streets. Over 100 hands, he has 4bet twice. I did not see the cards.
Hero (380) has a TAG image.

V tight weak opens 10. Hero 30 in CO AKo raises 30. V2 raises 135. V1 folds. Hero?

Good luck us!
You didn't include V2 position.
This is a jam versus the whale you have described.
I am assuming V2 is in the blinds.
You "could" just call this. SPR'll be 1-ish, IP, and you could go from there. I wouldn't though.
If H 5!-ships into a whale, and this whale doesn't fold, H would need to be a favorite vs their 4! range, as there'd be ~no dead money after rake. (Or technically, a tiny loser that still beats losing $30, works too.) So what is AKo a favorite against? I have AKo as a 50/50 vs 99+, ATs, KQs, 50%AQo+. 5.6% of hands.
You've said you're having trouble with their 4! and 5! ranges. My guess, not being there, is that this whale is a touch wider than that, with things like broadway Aces, and not minding if they take a flip. OTOH, if your image is as nitty/uncertain as I'm suspecting from your previous threads at this table, this whale is not as shenanigan-happy to donk off a few hundred to an obvious QQ+.
Is the whale tighter/looser/or no different to the range I gave? If H shoves, what % of this range will V call? If indeed 2% 4!, and 100%, then make a nitty fold.
My first instinct was to shove, FWIW.
A 4! from some people at 1/3 is AA or AA/KK. However, I would shove based on reads.
Are there any aggro 3betters behind us on Button / SB / BB? If so, decent spot to flat/4bet (or perhaps make a nitty fold if original tight raiser 4bets). This would actually be my normal play at most actiony tables as the first caller to a small raise (even with AA), although admittedly a little more dicey the later position we do this in.
I mean, I don't play at tables where light 4bets against a tight opener and tight 3better are a thing, especially at non-deep stacks. So I'd fold here always at my table, especially with my nitty image. But it seems (?) your table / opponent reads are suggesting otherwise, but just make sure you have a good handle on these. A lot of these guys might play silly against each other but then play a lot more ABC against the tighter guys in the mix.

Versus this guy, go for it. If you are behind, I doubt it's by much.
Villain faces a tight-weak player and a TAG, it seems a reasonable strategy to bet big and make them fold. He’s certainly not looking like he wants a call. I think a call is out of the question, AK is almost always raise or fold.
On the other hand, villain probably knows his image gets him calls and he could be trapping. This guy would have to show me a bluff first, because I don’t mind getting out of the way with AK.
To me it looks like a bad player that does crazy things, but it’s still 1/3 and if you start looking for light 4Bets, it will not end well for you.
I think playing AK is often the difference between winning & losing a session. When it quit bothering me to fold that hand, my game improved.
I’m not saying I wouldn’t shove if I was sitting there, but the description you gave is not enough to make that option attractive. If you were facing a polarized range from a strong player instead, would you call?
The money is the driving force at low limits in my mind. It’s rare when a big bet is not a big hand. I like villains line if he has AK
1/3 ends up with a lot of players that are quite comfortable and would be happy to play higher stakes. Some of these are good players and some are not, but the game often plays bigger. You have such a variety of characters, a range of those that play higher, all the way down to absolute newbies. I don’t think you can count on heuristics because the players can differ wildly from game to game.
