New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

How often does McD’s take your points back, they took away points from me 2x this month already, seems insane.
There's a lot which used to be a garden store. Maybe 1-1.25 mi from my house. The building was torn down ~2 years ago, it's been sitting empty since.
Saw a mention today that a proposal has been submitted for development into an In-n-Out. Maybe 2030? Not sure how long the approval then building process should take.
and i predict goldie will have an animal style from his local in less time than that.
watched one go up near my own construction project took around 7 months from ground breaking (that does not include the regulatory process)
biggest challenge for i-n-o is finding appropriate queueing space that doesn't snarl traffic for blocks.
here's how they handle the line in salem. there's room for over 50 cars

Lucky! I saw that they're in Tennessee now. In a few more decades they should reach me.
Whenever a commercial lot gets cleared around here people start wishing for their favorite restaurant (usually FF), but the running joke response is that it's going to be a Dollar General (since there already seems to be one on every corner).
Good point on the traffic, Red. Here's the proposed site:

InO where the pin is. That's a CFA just to the west, so mealtimes could be maddening. 120th (287) is a major road. That area has been developed over the last ~10 years, traffic is noticeably denser than before.
Might be like when they put the Cane's in a few blocks west. Lines out the lot, down 121st for quite some time. Then, the novelty wore off and it's not bad now.
OTOH, this won't be the first InO in the area, so maybe not so much new traffic. New to the neighborhood, but the closest one now is only ~6.5 miles.
I bet Broomfield figures out a way to get them in there and generate revenue.

Awesome!
When they started giving the initial COVID vaccinations at drive-thru setups here, the quip was that they should have put Chik-Fil-A in charge of the traffic. Now I think INO would have been a better choice.
CFA lines move way faster than In N Out lines.
In and Out by me is right nextdoor to my bank. Bank has one entrance that's covered up every single time I go. Fortunately I rarely go to either of them.

Brag: new potato griller is actually great
Beat: still a bummer that the Double Stack is gone
Variance: was offered a wide variety of drugs from a friendly patron

They can build a fast food place quick if they want to. Local Mickeys was torn down to the foundation slab, and I wanna say the place was open again 6 to 8 weeks later.

Wow, that amazes me.
The Five Guys I mentioned a while back seemed to be open again (at least no construction stuff around) when I walked by Sunday AM. Peeking in (pre-open), looked the same as before. TBF, I hardly ever went in there, so it probably changed in ways that I didn't notice.
For the InO, not sure how long it will take the wheels of government to either give it a thumbs-up or down so they can start building.
Problem is ive accrued enough chipotle points for a free entree.
Id rather not eat there again. Since they are banned by McMuffin.
I guess I could walk in and ask someone if they want a free entree. But thats just type weird.
came down to who he knew less
Tomorrow's Taco Bell drop is a $1 Nacho's Bell Grande. 2pm PST
Today's Carl's Jr. Hangover burger was good! Tough to beat free.
McDs has 2 for $5 SEC mcmuffins, and 99c sugar free iced coffee. So that's my breakfast when I have time again.
hell yeah looks like a flavorful salt bomb
That is very well made. Nice distribution.
