Punt or standard shove with underfull
Low stakes PLO5 online, 6 handed.
i am in the SB with Th8h5c2c2s. Have less than 50bb.
UTG opens, CO calls, I call, BB calls.
1) I know the hand is trash, and I am prepared to let it go instantly on the flop.
Flop:
5dKdKc
Checks around.
Turn:
2d
BB leads for half pot, UTG folds, CO calls, I reraise almost all in.
Is this a punt? Since i am blocking K2 and K5, and the flush just completed, i thought i am way ahead of Kx and obviously beating flushes. I am also short, so cannot be that bad.
I would probably fold any other constellation of underfull, but since i am blocking 5 and 2 and unblocking diamonds, i think more than enough I am up against a K and a flush.
Spoiler
BB jams, CO folds. BB reveals AKJJ5.

This is a punt.
In plo 4cards, underfulls even on flop is only 60/40 favorite vs random trips.
Here on turn with 5 cards, it's not crazy for them to have trips or boats already.
Even on board like k55 9 and you have 99xx, I'd treat it cautiously, if others are trying to get their money in, they probably have you beat.
I guess you can play it off and call it a cooler or whatever, but you gotta see how they play with their trips and underfulls before making assumptions that they get their money in light.
Most people can board read and knows hand strength.
Unless you've already identified villain is a fish who overvalues hands like trips/flushes or whatever even then I play it cautiously.
Turn is either call or fold. River definitely folding to any size unless super small like 1/10 or something.
Preflop is a fold unless you have vpip requirements for that game.
Pre-flop is losing like 2bb or something, it's way beyond a slight mistake. You will never be a winning player if you play like that pre-flop.
