Bwana song title reminds me of this unhingedly racist Carpenters tune from their experimental period.
Wow! I never knew the Carpenters had an experimental period? I thought it was just syrupy pop. In any event Karen Carpenter had the best voice of any singer ever! I took her in the second round of the "best voices" draft because I knew the Lounge was "too cool" for anyone to take her in the first round. I probably could have waited longer but she is clearly the best singer who ever lived.

as I get older, I find myself getting more and more sentimental. Coldplay played "Clocks" on the very first Jimmy Kimmel show, and on Kimmel's 20th anniversary, they come back and do it again - in a completely lovely way.
I never did understand why people make fun of Coldplay and their fans. I think "Clocks" is one of the most beautiful songs of the last 25 years. And Chris Martin's voice - live - is one of the purest I've ever heard.
