New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

I can't even imagine a fish sandwich with cheese.
And I've never even eaten an entire FF fish sandwich. I might have taken a bite of one decades ago. I blame early fish sticks and poorly prepared fresh caught fish for my aversion. But cheese? Jesus Christ, you heathens!
Well, you've probably got some of the best fish anywhere, right? Pulled out of the river, scaled, run through some batter, then deep fried.

100% I've also never had a bite of a fish sandwich and never will. If I did though, I'd definitely want it drowned with as many flavors besides fish as possible.
Tonight I had Jet's Pizza for the first time ever. They advertise all the time here (Chicago area) . Chicago pizza is awesome and chains are generally avoidable. But ... but I ocasisnally like a thickish crust. And the constant TV ads convinced me I had to try this "Detroit Style" pizza. Very close to Chicago deep dish. Very good and enjoyed it.That said Chicago tavern st
Jetβs is a very good pizza chain thatβs not talked about much. [emoji106]
Jet’s is great, especially for a chain. Not exactly cheap, but very solid Detroit style. 8-corner well done w turbo crust is the move.

Yep. You don't scale them; you skin them.
That's about the only fish I'll eat. Love shellfish though!
Jet's is loved in Detroit too.

Huh. I'm really not a fish person, did not know that. Always enjoyed catching them in my youth, but always put 'em back.
oh boy honestly wild to me cold caught coho sockeye or chinook smoked dried fryed or jerked would result in anything other than something you might be willing to eat without fear of salmon fellow
Today only in app, Jack in the Box has 75c Jumbo Jack's. Add cheese for 50c.

Fast food formed "fish" meat concoction + american cheese + tartar +toasted bun is amazingly delicious and has no need for alteration. Don't need the tartar if you're desperate
Both QFC and Safeway have been offering fish sandwiches; WFC has a rectangular patty. Fresh, the coating has a nice crunch, but it hasn't had enough time for the cheese and bread to meld. I think it's $2.99 which is a steal
Safeway uses fish sticks, cheese, and adds tartar sauce on a brioche bun. $3.99 on sale
Either I'll inhale with the quickness. I rarely get the filet o fish at MCDs, its basically a hidden secret menu item at this point IMO.

Finally had a chance to try the Jersey Mike's hot italian yesterday. Was very good, would definitely eat again.
never had a bad sandwich from jersey mikes, just some not as great as others
If I had a big enough Trust Fun, I'd acquire Subway and Pizza Hut, overhaul their entire operation and turn them into fast food giants again.
different degrees of permitting and overall entry cost
paying for pizza exhaust and fire suppression requirements is a continual tax from operational funs
