Cash Game, On-line, < 1BB left in stack.

Please help me with my memory (or flawed memory).

I remember playing Full-Tilt back in the days (2000's) when a player's stack got knocked down to < 1BB (cash game!) they would not be dealt into the next hand.

However, everywhere I look indicates my memory is incorrect.

Can anyone else confirm the how Online sites dealt with a player (in a cash game) being left with < 1BB in a hand and whether if they were min middle position (didn[t have to post blinds), whether or not they were dealt into the hand or not?
